In China,"General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017Edition)",mathematical modeling is further emphasized,and it is propos ed that corresponding mathematical modeling activities must be carried out in high school mathematics teaching.On the one hand,as an important carrier of high school teaching,how do mathematics textbooks present content related to mathematical modeling? What are the characteristics of different versions of new textbooks in their presentation? On the other hand,compared with the old version of the mathematics textbook,how has the new version of the mathematics textbook changed in terms of the presentation of mathematical modeling? Is this change more in line with the characteristics of mathematical modeling?This study uses the characteristics of high school mathematical modeling content as a reference to define the content of high school mathematical mo deling,and uses the People's Education Edition A,Shanghai Education Edition,Jiangsu Education Edition and Beijing Normal University Edition as examples.The contents related to mathematical modeling in the mathematics textbooks are compared horizontally;at the same time,the two versions of the new and old textbooks of the People's Education A version are taken as examples to compare them vertically;and based on this,the content of mathematical modeling in the textbooks is compiled Give suggestion.Th e main question of this research is: How is the content of mathematical modeling presented in the above versions of high school mathematics textbooks? What are the characteristics? What are the characteristics and differences in the mathematical modeling of the new and old versions of the A version of the People's Education Edition? How should it be improved?The main body of this article is composed of the following six aspects:The first part is the introduction,which analyzes and introduces the research status of mathematical modeling at home and abroad and in our country's curriculum standards and the basic ideas and methods used in this article.The second part mainly introduces the domestic and foreign researches on the concept and process of mathematical modeling and the domestic research and comparison on the content of mathematical modeling in high school textbooks.The third part analyzes and defines what kind of content is the mathematical modeling in the high school mathematics textbook involved in this research,and what are its key elements? According to the characteristics of mathematical modeling in high school textbooks,it forms a conceptual analysis framework and constructs an analysis index system.In the fourth part,based on the previous conceptual analysis framework and the construction of the analysis index system,the mathematical modeling content in the above four new editions of the new textbook is defined,classified,assigned,and horizontally compared from the overall and sub-category characteristics.The fifth part is similar to the fourth part.According to the previous conceptual analysis framework and the construction of an analysis index system,the mathematical modeling content in the new and the old two editions of the Peopl e's Education Edition A version of the textbook is sorted,coded and longitudinally compared,and its changes are analyzed.The sixth part of the conclusions summarizes and summarizes the results of the research,and gives comments and suggestions on the presentation of mathematical modeling content in high school textbooks.
