Cai Yuanpei's Thought Of Moral Education And Its Enlightenment

Cai Yuanpei,who was praised by Mao Zedong as "the leader of the academics and the model of the world",formed his moral education thought in the critical period of modern national crisis.He combined the traditional Confucian moral education thought with the Western beneficial thought of advocating freedom and equality,thus forming his unique moral education theory.This has an indelible contribution to the development of Peking University and the education of the whole Republic of China.With the in-depth development of socialist modernization,moral education in China's colleges and universities is facing new situations and new problems.Based on this,This paper takes Cai Yuanpei's moral education thought as the research object,starting from the social background,cultural background and personal background of the formation of Cai Yuanpei's moral education thought,systematically discusses the subjective and objective conditions for the formation of his thought.Secondly,around the main viewpoints of Cai Yuanpei's moral education thought,this paper studies from four aspects: goal,content,principle and method.This paper interprets the essence of Cai Yuanpei's moral education thought from an all-round and multi angle perspective,and on this basis,makes a reasonable evaluation of his thought.Finally,it takes the data of network questionnaire and interview of teachers of Ideological and political course as reference to further analyze the "bottleneck" encountered by college students in moral education,and discuss from the four dimensions,the establishment of correct concept of moral education of college students,improve the content of moral education of college students,pay attention to the combination of various education methods and actively seek the moral help of family and society,and the reasonable core of Cai Yuanpei's moral education thought is applied to the current moral education system of colleges and universities.This not only lays a solid foundation for the cultivation of all-round development talents in Colleges and universities,but also lays a foundation for promoting the deepening of the theory and practice of moral education in Colleges and universities,thus providing modern enlightenment for colleges and universities to get out of the dilemma of moral education.
