At present, the country's demand for innovative talents and skilled talents is increasing. As school education is an important way to develop students' innovative and practical abilities, setting up corresponding technical and engineering courses is particularly important. However, the research in the field of technology and engineering in the basic education stage of our country only puts forward clear teaching goals in elementary schools and high schools, while the junior high school stage,as a bridge connecting elementary schools and high schools, lacks the content of technology and engineering.During the internship of Zhengzhou H Middle School, the author realized that the school has a need to develop school-based courses in the field of technology and engineering,so such courses are offered and students' performance will be evaluated after they have completed the courses.By consulting the literature, combing domestic and foreign technology and engineering education related research,at the same time, based on the current situation of H middle school, student learning needs and the "engineering technology process" model in the NASA education framework, the author constructs technology and engineering courses suitable for local junior high school students. The course offers three projects: wire spinning top, stone throwing machine siege and paper bridge load-bearing.It lasted 11 class hours and was implemented in three classes in the seventh grade, aiming to cultivate students' technical and engineering literacy. After the course is over, the author draws on the technical and engineering literacy evaluation developed by NAEP for 8th grade students in accordance with the teaching objectives, screens the test questions, and collects 4 domestic technical and engineering test questions in the basic education stage to form an evaluation test question.Test the three classes taught, using a combination of questionnaires and test questions.Through this research,it can be found that in the seven links of the course activities, students can "clear design requirements",but they are out of the requirements in the "model making" link;the students trained in the pre-course and the 8th grade students in the United States are in technology and engineering literacy The performance in the test is basically the same;the "Engineering Design Process EDP" in the NASA education framework can effectively guide technology and engineering teaching.Based on the findings of this research,it is recommended to actively offer school-based courses in technology and engineering at the junior high school stage;create opportunities for students to participate in technology and engineering practice as much as possible in teaching, and teachers should give appropriate guidance.
