In recent years,with the increasing investment in education and the strengthening of education reform,the phenomenon of students' non investment in learning has become increasingly prominent.As a result,the quality of education has aroused widespread concern from all walks of life in China.Instead of focusing only on the results of education,it has begun to focus on the consciousness and emotional experience of students' active participation in the process of education.Learning engagement is not only an evaluation index to test the quality of education,but also an effective observation index to evaluate students' learning process and development.Because mathematics is abstract,rigorous and widely used,although junior high school students have certain development in learning behavior,emotion and cognition,there are some problems in mathematics learning,such as passive behavior and non engagement,deviation between emotion and cognition,easy to be affected by the outside world and so on.In view of this,the research on the status quo,influencing factors and mechanism of junior high school students' mathematics learning engagement has certain theoretical and practical significance to improve students' non engagement in learning and improve the quality of education.Junior high school students' mathematics learning engagement is the result of the comprehensive effect of external factors and internal factors.On the basis of literature review,this study focuses on the clue of "the influence of mathematics teachers' expectation(environment)on junior high school students' mathematics learning engagement(behavior)and the response and interaction with individual initiative(Psychology)",and designs three research questions:(1)what is junior high school students' mathematics learning engagement;(2)what is the influence of mathematics teachers' expectation on junior high school students' mathematics learning engagement;(3)what effect does mathematics teachers' expectation on junior high school students' mathematics learning engagement.In order to further explore the above problems,this study uses the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and statistical analysis to systematically study the influence and mechanism of mathematics teachers' expectations on junior high school students' mathematics learning engagement.Based on the questionnaire survey of 556 junior middle school students from two junior high schools in Guilin,this paper investigates the current situation of influence of mathematics teachers' expectation perceived by junior high school students,mathematics values,mathematics learning motivation and mathematics learning engagement,exploring the influence mechanism and process of Mathematics Teachers' expectation on junior middle school students' mathematics learning engagement,and understand the level of junior high school students' mathematics learning engagement and individual initiative when the junior high school students perceive the expectation of mathematics teachers.In order to improve the non-commitment phenonmenon of junior high school students and propose targeted suggestions of improving the level of junior high school students' mathematics learning engagement,this paper puts forward some suggestions.The main conclusions are as follows;(1)On the whole,junior high school students feel that the expectation of mathematics teachers,mathematics values,mathematics learning motivation and mathematics learning investment are in the upper middle development level.(2)In demographic variables,junior high school students feel that there are significant differences in mathematics teachers' expectations in grade,whether to be a class leader and whether the class teacher is a mathematics teacher;junior high school students' mathematics values have significant differences in gender;junior high school students' mathematics learning motivation has significant differences in whether the class teacher is a mathematics teacher;junior high school students' mathematics learning investment is whether to be a class leader There are significant differences.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between junior high school students' mathematics teacher expectation,mathematics values,mathematics learning motivation and mathematics learning engagement.(4)Junior high school students' perceived mathematics teacher expectation has a significant positive impact on mathematics learning engagement in the three dimensions of teacher support,teaching interaction and academic feedback.Mathematics values and mathematics learning motivation play multiple mediating roles in the impact mechanism of junior high school students' perceived mathematics teacher expectation on mathematics learning engagement.The main innovation of this study:(1)from the new perspective of junior high school students' perception of mathematics teachers' expectations to study the impact on mathematics learning engagement;(2)confirmed that junior high school students' mathematics learning engagement is the result of the combined effect of external environmental factors and internal psychological factors;(3)revealed the influence mechanism and role of junior high school students' perception of mathematics teachers' expectations on their mathematics learning engagement Process.
