The Negative Influence Of Internet Populism On College Students And Its Countermeasures

In recent years,populism is becoming more intense and extreme than before with the development and popularization of a new carrier,the Internet.More attention should be paid to the negative effect of Internet populism on college students,because the abruptness,emotionality,and pan-morality of Internet populism will bring ideological confusion to netizens,of which college students are the highest proportion,with their own characteristics and unique social values.The essence of ideological and political education makes it necessary to shoulder the responsibility of cultivating qualified successors for the modernization of socialism with Chinese characteristics.Therefore,the focus of this paper is to grasp the basic concept of Internet populism,analyze the negative impact of Internet populism on college students,and propose corresponding countermeasures from the perspective of ideological and political education.The basic framework of this article is as follows:The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly explains the background,significance,and method of the research,as well as the summary of relevant studies in recent years.The second chapter mainly explains the theory of Internet populism.To understand the concept of Internet populism accurately,we must first clarify the concept of populism,conduct a primary analysis of populism,and then comb the related theories of Internet populism,understand the differences between the two and fully grasp the main topic and basic types of Internet populism.The third chapter mainly elaborates on the behavior of Internet populism among college students.The author believes that only by clearly presenting the behavior of college students affected by Internet populism can we summarize the negative impact of Internet populism on college students more specifically and put forward countermeasures.Compared with other netizens,the identity of college students has a certain degree of particularity.Therefore,Internet populism is often manifested as contradictory interweaving among college students,which corresponds to the basic issues of Internet populism,and mainly appears as rational repulsion and perceptual identification.Starting from its performance,the fourth chapter discusses the negative impact of Internet populism on college students in three parts: 1)it shakes the ideals and beliefs of college students,2)it interferes with the correct cognition of college students,and 3)misleads the values of college students.The three parts also analyze the negative effect corresponds to the basic concepts and characteristics of Internet populism and college students' identity of the successor of the socialist modernization.Corresponding to the three negative effects of the fourth chapter and taking the perspective of ideological and political education,the fifth chapter proposes to use the Chinese dream to build the ideal world of college students for shaking ideals and beliefs and to improve college students cognitive thinking with critical thinking for the interference with correct cognition.It also puts forward the corresponding countermeasures uphold the value orientation of college students based on core values in response to misleading values.Meanwhile,the measures avoid being false,grandiose,and empty,so that they can be truly implemented.
