Mathematics culture is an important field of mathematics teaching research.With the promulgation of Mathematics Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)in senior high school,the concept of mathematics culture was clearly given for the first time,and it was proposed to integrate mathematics culture into the curriculum to combine mathematics culture with teaching.As the pioneer of reform,the curriculum standard in senior high school also has a certain reference function for junior high schools in compulsory education stage."One standard with multiple copies" is the existing form of teaching materials and curriculum standards,and teaching materials,as text media,connect teachers and students.According to this,the current PEP edition,Beijing Normal University edition,Hebei Education Edition and Suzhou Science Edition are selected as the research objects,and the mathematical culture quantity,grade distribution,content distribution,column distribution,application mode and presentation form in these four editions are compared to provide theoretical basis and enlightenment for the reform of junior high school mathematics textbooks in the future.The conclusions are as follows:(1)In terms of the quantity of mathematical culture,Beijing Normal University Edition has the largest number,with 1179,followed by Su Ke Edition,with 1010,People's Education Edition third,with 939,and Hebei Education Edition at least,with 912.(2)In terms of grade distribution,the mathematical culture decreases with the increase of grades,and the decreasing range of mathematical culture in the fourth edition textbooks is different,but the decreasing range from grade seven to grade eight is greater than that from grade eight to grade nine.(3)In terms of the content distribution of mathematical culture,the mathematics culture of the four editions of textbooks are all real life,accounting for the highest proportion,reaching more than 70%,among which Hebei Education Edition has the highest proportion,accounting for 85.7%,followed by Beijing Normal University Edition,accounting for 81.6%,the third is Suke Edition,accounting for80.7%,and the last is People's Education Edition,accounting for 74.9%,among which daily life.Mathematics,humanities,arts and history of mathematics are the least,accounting for less than 10%.(4)In the column distribution of mathematics culture,the proportion of mathematics culture permeating in exercises is more than 60%,and in non-text columns,the proportion of mathematics culture in the four editions of textbooks is relatively small.(5)In the application mode of mathematical culture,the history of mathematics is mainly attached to reading materials and directly copied historical events and famous historical problems,while the history of mathematics adapted for teaching and the history of mathematics which plays an ornament role in teaching materials are relatively few.The application level of the history of mathematics in the four editions of textbooks is relatively low,among which the Beijing Normal University edition has the highest application level,followed by Hebei Education Edition,and the Suzhou Science Edition is lower than Hebei Education Edition,while the People's Education Edition has the lowest application level.The application of other mathematical cultures is mainly separable,followed by inseparable,and the least is external.It can be seen that mathematical culture is not closely related to mathematical culture.Through calculation,it can be concluded that the application level of other mathematical cultures is the highest in PEP,followed by Hebei Education Edition,followed by Beijing Normal University Edition,and the lowest is Su Ke Edition.(6)As for the presentation form of mathematical culture,the mathematical culture in the four editions of textbooks is presented in the form of description,and the combination of text description and pictures and texts is more than simple pictures.
