Multiple representation is to guide the ideas and methods of chemistry teaching and learning from the essence of chemistry,and the ability level of students to change between different symptoms reflects their understanding of chemistry knowledge and the ability to use the knowledge to solve complex problems.The theme of "ion reaction and balance in aqueous solution" is one of the important learning contents of chemistry in middle school,and it is also one of the most difficult parts.Taking the content of this theme as the carrier to evaluate the ability of high school students' quadruple representation and transformation can not only make students clear their predicament,but also help teachers understand the students' learning situation and existing problems,and adjust the teaching strategies.Help students break through learning barriers and improve their ability to use knowledge to solve problems.This study focuses on the ability of quadruple characterization and transformation,Guided by project response theory,SOLO classification evaluation,Drawing on domestic and foreign research,To analyze and integrate the requirements of "ion reaction and equilibrium in aqueous solution" in the Chemistry Curriculum Standard of General Senior High School(2017 Edition)and the Notes of College entrance examination 2020,And combed with the core research question connection.On that basis,Develop a two-way breakdown,The evaluation tool of four-fold characterization conversion ability is developed.Then,According to the Rasch model to test the reliability and validity of the evaluation tools and quality optimization,Moreover,208 students of R High School in W County of Gansu Province were evaluated.Finally,This paper analyzes the students' ability of transformation from the aspects of distribution and performance,different grades and different classes.The empirical results show that the ability of representation transformation of each dimension of 1 is not optimistic.The students' thinking level is the highest between single point structure and correlation structure,that is,the ability of macro representation to symbol representation is the strongest;the thinking level is the lowest in the process of transition from curve representation to micro representation,which shows that the ability of transition from curve representation to micro representation is the weakest;In contrast,the conversion dimension related to symbolic representation(except the two dimensions intersecting with curve representation),the students' thinking level is between single point structure and multi-point structure,and the conversion ability is slightly stronger,but it is still not optimistic.High school students' ability to transform chemistry four-fold characterization is increasing slowly with the increase of grade,but it is not significant in all the transformation dimensions.The fourfold characterization conversion ability of key class students is better than that of ordinary class students.Students are more inclined to use symbolic representation to solve chemical problems,and less proactive to use microscopic representation.Based on the above research results,this study also discusses the factors that affect the students' ability of multiple representation transformation from the three angles of teachers' teaching,students' learning and multiple representation ontology,and puts forward some suggestions for improving the students' ability of representation transformation.In order to provide reference and inspiration for educational researchers,first-line chemistry teachers and so on.
