| Along with the in-depth development of education reform in China,the development of education informatization has stepped into a new journey,and the value of education informatization has become increasingly prominent.As a natural science based on experiments,chemistry teaching has been developing and changing with the trend of the times,and the application of handheld technology to chemistry teaching as a digital information experiment has become a new responsibility and mission for the modernization of education.The four-fold representation teaching mode of "macromicro-symbol-curve" formed by the combination of the curve representation of handheld technology and the triple representation of chemistry can not only provide a deeper analysis of chemical subject knowledge,but also optimize the development of students’ core literacy in chemistry and implement the goal of cultivating people with moral character.The goal of cultivation.Therefore,strengthening the research on handheld technology and quadruple representation theory is not only in line with the requirements of the development of the times,but also has strong practical significance for the cultivation of students’ core literacy.This research is aimed at developing students’ ability of quadruple representation in chemistry by using handheld technology,and a combination of four methods:literature research method,questionnaire survey method,experimental research method,and action research method are used to analyze the research.Firstly,the literature research method is used to understand the development status of handheld technology and multiple representations(triple representation,quadruple representation)at home and abroad,and to sort out their generation,development and application in teaching practice at home and abroad,so as to clarify the meaning and direction of the research.On the basis of literature reading and theoretical research,we conducted an empirical study on triple representation based on the Delphi method,which lasted for four months,and 30 experts from universities and secondary schools studied through four rounds of questionnaires,and finally constructed a chemistry triple representation competence system containing 19 items.Through the experts’ presentation and elaboration of the competency system items,it is easy to see that the experts pay attention to the cultivation of students’ scientific inquiry ability and information technology ability,thus laying the theoretical foundation for the subsequent research.According to the requirements of the curriculum standard,we analyzed the content of the general high school chemistry teaching materials of the Human Education version,and introduced the handheld technology to develop four handheld teaching cases: "Definition of strong electrolytes and weak electrolytes","Investigation of the products of photolysis of hypochlorous acid","Investigation of the factors affecting the chemical equilibrium of hydrolysis of salts",and "Investigation of the factors affecting the rate of chemical reactions" in response to the shortage of experimental teaching content of some teaching materials.At the same time,based on the steps of scientific inquiry,the fundamental process of the quadruple representation teaching mode was sorted out,and the teaching case of the quadruple representation teaching mode of the reaction of chlorine gas with water was developed by using the textbook experiment as a carrier and incorporating the designed handheld technology experiment case,and the teaching practice research was carried out,while the research subjects were chosen from two senior classes of equal level,so the research data obtained met the requirements of the subject research.After the teaching practice,the differences in the teaching effects between the students of the experimental class and the control class were fed back using the questionnaire method and the interview method,so as to judge the effects of the quadruple representation teaching mode.The following conclusions can be drawn from the above elements of the research:(1)The cultivation of students’ experimental investigation ability and informationbased classroom teaching have received the attention of experts,and as a product of the combination of information technology and chemistry experiments,the promotion and application of handheld technology in primary and secondary schools not only meets the requirements of the new era for talent training,but also can contribute to the cultivation of students’ core literacy.(2)The design of secondary school chemistry experiment teaching cases based on handheld technology development can not only effectively supplement the shortcomings of traditional chemistry experiments,but also promote the improvement of teachers’ classroom teaching effects,enrich and optimize chemistry classroom teaching,and provide reference for the promotion and implementation of handheld technology.(3)Through the development of teaching cases and practical research,it can be concluded that the quadruple representation teaching model based on handheld technology has a certain promotion effect on students’ improvement at different stages,and the teaching of this model has been unanimously recognized by teachers and students.The teaching model can not only cultivate students’ multifaceted representation ability,but also promote the overall improvement of students’ core literacy and enhance scientific inquiry ability,which is feasible in secondary school teaching practice. |
