Clearly put forward in the party's 19 accelerate the strategic target of the construction of the sports power, the construction of campus football development as a sports power and an important part of the reform and development of football, especially in the September 9,2020 after the national youth campus football work video meeting, there is a new development direction of campus football teaching and the implementation power. How to scientifically and effectively improve the level of youth football teaching, increase students' willingness to participate in football and strengthen their physical quality are the urgent problems to be solved in the current campus teaching reform.Cross-theoretical models have been developed for decades in foreign countries, involving social behavior, nursing rehabilitation, education and health and other professional fields. At the end of last century, foreign scholars began to apply it in the direction of physical exercise. After that, some domestic studies cited this theoretical model.Based on this purpose, the cross-theory model will be introduced to "the application of cross-theory model in middle school football teaching" as the research object,to understand its influence on the participation behavior of middle school students in football teaching. This study mainly uses the method of literature, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics to select 381 students of a high school freshman as the experimental subjects.According to the convenient sampling,213 of them are divided into the experimental group for cognition-behavior education intervention, and the other168 are the control group. The students in both groups underwent pre-test,post-test and follow-up investigation. The independent variable of the experimental intervention was the presence of intervention, and the dependent variable was the change of the stage of participating in football behavior. The data obtained from the experiment are divided into two parts: component analysis(phase change)and qualitative analysis(perceived benefit and perceived obstacle). The phase change part of the quantitative analysis was statistically tested by the chi-square analysis, and the qualitative analysis was described as the end of the frequency analysis. The results showed that :(1)36% of the participants in the experiment were in the action period and maintenance period of regular participation in football behavior habit;(2)There were significant differences in the stage changes between the experimental group and the control group;(3)No matter in the experimental group or the control group, the stage progress of those in the early intention, intention period and preparation period(who have not established regular football behavior habits)is significantly higher than that of those in the action period and maintenance period(who have established regular football behavior habits),and the stage regression is significantly lower; There were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group.(4)Students' perceived participation in football interests is mainly based on health factors;(5)The students' perceived barriers to participation in football were mainly due to the lack of time. The conclusions are as follows :(1)The cross-theory model is helpful to promote students' participation in football activities;(2)Cross-theoretical model helps students establish rules to participate in football behavior;(3)Clarifying the perceived factors of students' participation in football behavior across theoretical models.Research Suggestions :(1)Effectively introduce the practical application of cross-theory model in football teaching;(2)Comprehensively consider the effect of cross-theoretical mode of involvement in football teaching;(3)Research limitations and future prospects.
