Research On Mathematics Remedial Teaching From The Perspective Of Cognitive Diagnosis

As the theory and practice of mathematics education proved that mathematics education is a complicated process.Since students can't always reach the education target together,it's an essential link to remedy the students who have difficulty in mathematics-study during certain period.Meanwhile,with the development of Cognitive Diagnostic Theory,we can learn the cognitive process and cognitive structure of the students to provide valid reference to remedial teaching by analyzing the test result.Therefore,this research,which based on Cognitive Diagnostic Theory,will carry out a research for mathematics remedial teaching.Using document analysis to sort out the document related to cognitive diagnostic and education assistance,this research came out an idea under cognitive diagnostic that mathematics remedial teaching should include clarify the object of remedial teaching,diagnosing niduses,pathogen confirming,implementing remedial teaching and effect evaluating these five links.To make it more persuasive,this research will rely on the quadratic function of junior high school.First of all,as the guidance of Cognitive Diagnostic Theory,we can draw an conclusion that there are eight cognitive attributes of quadratic function of junior high school.In the meantime,we released questionnaire to fifteen front-line teachers,collected their opinion,revised the cognitive attributes,established six cognitive attributes that the concept of quadratic function,image and nature of quadratic function,image panning of quadratic function,analytic of quadratic function,quadratic function versus unary quadratic function and practical application of quadratic function together their hierarchical relationship.On the other hand,the test paper relied on the guidance of Q Matrix and hierarchical relationship of cognitive attributes,tested to three hundred and thirty two students from some junior high schools.Judging from the result by the Cognitive Diagnostic Theory,we can learn two cases.One is the master mode of cognitive attributes for every students,another one is the master situation of each cognitive attributes for all students.According to the result of cognitive diagnostic,we can intuitively find out which students are deficient in which part of quadratic function.In the other words,cognitive diagnostic can diagnosing niduses effectively.Second,as the guidance of Gagne's Study Results Classifications Theory,we can analyze the cognitive obstacles of quadratic function initially.Combing with questionnaire for students and interviewing for teachers,we can explore the reason for the cognitive obstacles.And we found that the reason for speech information disorder are the lack of ability of reading for students and attention for writing specification for students and teachers;the reason for intellectual skill disorder are unilateral knowledge understanding,poor cognitive structure,immature mathematical thought and thinking set;the reason for cognitive strategy disorder are poor metacognition.So we can make a classification diagram of the cognitive obstacles reason of quadratic function to confirm pathogen.At the last,we can carry out some remedial teaching strategies form the cognitive obstacles reason as showed above: improve math reading abilities,cultivate favorable writing specification to eliminate speech information disorder;promote understanding teach,construct favorable cognitive structure,optimize mathematical thought teaching,train flexibility of thinking to eliminate intellectual skill disorder;emphasize to cultivate metacognition ability to eliminate cognitive strategy disorder.Besides,we will design the plan of remedial teaching regarding by the cognitive diagnostic result,compiling remedial teaching design by remedial teaching strategies,provide layered remedial teaching including group remedial teaching and collective remedial teaching to students to prove that mathematics remedial teaching from the perspective of cognitive diagnosis is operational and effective.
