With the continuous development and improvement of the core literacy theory of Chinese students in the practice of basic education,the front-line teachers have more and more urgent needs on how to implement the core literacy of their own subject.We use the content of the "Statistics and Probability" module and the concept of data analysis in Mathematics Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education(2011 Edition)as the basis of our study.This paper is trying to explore whether the redesigned curriculum based on STEAM Education concept can effectively improve the core literacy of mathematics "data analysis concept" corresponding to this module.Our method provides a practical way to implement core literacies of mathematics discipline,as well as for more disciplines.Based on the "data analysis concept" proposed in the Mathematics Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education(2011 Edition),this study divides the data analysis concept into three dimensions as the basis of evaluation implementation,and subdivides nine elements based on the three dimensions specified in the curriculum standard to evaluate the level of data analysis concept.Aiming at the problems existing in the current "statistics and probability" module teaching,teaching design of "statistics and probability" in primary school mathematics is based on steam education concept.It takes a series of problems faced by locust disaster control as application scenarios,so that students can learn how to solve problems in real situations.It provides a chance for students to have a complete statistical process,and pays attention to and cultivate students' concept of "data analysis",which gets good practical results.
