Solid geometry is an abstract description of the objects in the real world. It is a useful tool for understanding the shape, size and distance of the world. It is of great significance to study solid geometry for cultivating students;good mathematical literacy, forming good habits of thinking, improving their logical reasoning ability and expressing ability.Solid geometry is one of the key and difficult contents in the high school mathematics teaching process, has occupied the important position in the high school mathematics knowledge system. With the development of the reform of the basic education, the research on the teaching of geometry knowledge has been deepened, such as the use of multiple representation theory to solve the problems in the teaching of geometry, which provides a new research perspective for improving the teaching effect. This paper is to explore the teaching design of solid geometry based on the theory of multi-dimensional representation,in order to provide new ideas and methods for optimizing solid geometry teaching. The main contents and conclusions of this paper are as follows:First, the theory of multi-representation at home and abroad is expounded, and its application in mathematics teaching is summarized and analyzed.Second, the present situation of solid geometry teaching is investigated and studied by means of questionnaire, interview, etc.,taking one or two parallel classes of a senior high school in Changchun as the research sample,a questionnaire on students' learning of solid geometry was developed according to five dimensions: non-intelligence factors, knowledge structure, learning methods, representation theory and teaching methods, six teachers were selected to carry out a questionnaire survey and interviews.Through the statistical analysis of the samples, combined with the interview results, the problems of solid geometry teaching were:(1)students learning solid geometry more passive;(2)students lack the flexibility of transformation between representations,it is difficult to establish a systematic knowledge structure of solid geometry,(3)teachers lack diversity of presentation of solid geometry knowledge and single teaching method.Thirdly, four teaching design principles based on the theory of multi-representation are put forward: the principle of homogeneous aggregation, the principle of consistency of representation, the principle of shortcut of multi-representation and the principle of multi-sensory channel.Teaching practice of solid geometry based on the principle of multi-representation teaching design.Taking two parallel classes in this school as the practice object, after two months of teaching practice, the results of the two classes are tested and compared. The conclusions are as follows:(1)the teaching of three-dimensional geometry based on multiple representations can reduce the cognitive load of students in the learning process,to deepen students, understanding of solid geometry, promote students;conversion and translation of multiple representations in concept understanding, and improve teaching efficiency;(2)there are differences between parallel classes and control classes, but it is not obvious;(3)the classroom atmosphere of solid geometry teaching based on multi-representation is more lively, students;participation is higher, and students;interest in solid geometry study is increased. On the basis of the above investigation and experiment, the teaching suggestion of solid geometry based on multi-representation is put forward. And the research of this paper is summarized, reflected and prospected.
