This paper tries to understand the relationship between social service agencies and clients from the perspective of "gift-exchange".Taking social service agencies X and Y as examples, this paper finds the coupling between educational support provided by social service agencies and situation-based action, and the input of energy and resources of clients and the Mauss sense of gift, and on this basis, clarifies the gift meaning of social service agencies and clients' actions.Secondly,we use gifts to understand the "feedback" of clients, dig out the "pressure perception" factor and "more pure emotion" hidden in the "feedback" of clients, and then find that the situational differences between social service agencies and clients further amplify the gift-oriented willingness to give back. Then, the paper introduces the concept of time and takes gift exchange as a mirror to examine the relationship between social service agencies and clients as well as the relationship between gift-feedback,and the correspondence between the expectation of social service agencies for "feedback" and the delayed gift feedback and gift exchange of clients. Finally, this paper proposes to reconstruct the relationship between social service agencies and clients by integrating the spatial thinking into the scene and conveying the trust and respect to the clients. The purpose of this study is to add some empirical evidence to the discussion of the relationship between social service agencies and clients in the field of social work, hoping to explain the renewed expectation of the "social" meaning of social work through thinking about the relationship between social service agencies and clients.
