The content of plane geometry occupies an important position in junior middle school mathematics and has many educational values. However, many students spend a lot of time and energy when learning the content of plane geometry, and they are still afraid of the complicated problem-solving steps and flexible problem-solving methods of geometry problems. The learning of mathematics should be a process of thinking collision and precipitation. For students ’ difficulties in plane geometry learning, teachers should pay attention to the actual effect of interaction, and create more opportunities for students ’thinking collisions,so that students can experience, perceive, differentiate, summarize, and improve.Makes mathematics teaching return to the essence of education. And students are different, and we should help them develop in plane geometry learning on the basis of acknowledging and respecting the differences of each student. Therefore, plane geometry teaching needs to pay attention to the differences of students on the basis of cooperative inquiry mode to reduce the stratification of students. It not only pays attention to the mathematics learning of each student, reflects the principle of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, but also pays attention to the cooperation and communication between students, improves the classroom learning atmosphere, and uses vivid and efficient classroom teaching to help students continuously improve the cognitive structure of plane geometry. This paper applies the hierarchical cooperative teaching mode to plane geometry learning for practical research.First, through the analysis of the differences in the grades of the plane geometry part of the eighth grade students’ opening exams, and then use the form of questionnaires to understand the students’ plane geometry learning and teaching conditions. Then, through interviews with the mathematics teachers of our school,we understand the teachers’ understanding and support for the layered cooperative learning of plane geometry in junior high schools. So as to analyze the feasibility of this teaching practice research.Later, the hierarchical cooperative teaching mode was applied to the teaching practice of plane geometry.According to the analysis of the pre-test results, the experimental class and the control class are determined. For the experimental class, students are divided into four levels: A(excellent students),B(excellent students),C(intermediate students),and D(students with poor academic performance)based on pre-test scores, learning interests, and learning conditions. On the basis of the students’ personal wishes,a four-person cooperative group of "A,B,C,D" will be constructed. In the group, follow the principle of "everything is in charge, everyone has something to do",and the four members of each group must have a specific division of labor. In the plane geometry teaching, when formulating teaching goals, teaching methods, classroom and after-school exercises,after-class guidance, examination content, student evaluation, etc.,we fully consider the individual differences of students to formulate teaching strategies. At the same time, pay attention to the group Mutual assistance between members to achieve cooperation in layers. The control class adopts the traditional teaching mode. After a semester of teaching practice,a comparative analysis of the implementation effect was carried out.The first is to investigate the students’ plane geometry learning situation again(post-test),and the results show that the layered cooperative teaching mode has greatly improved the mental outlook of students in learning plane geometry. The second is to evaluate and analyze the development trend of the four examinations of the experimental class and the control class. The results show that the hierarchical cooperative teaching mode has significantly improved the students’ academic performance in plane geometry, and the improvement of classes with better levels is more obvious. For students who have difficulty in learning plane geometry, due to the mutual help of the members of the group, they first have a change in their thinking and their enthusiasm for learning has increased. For excellent students,in the process of helping the students in the group,on the one hand, they sorted out the knowledge system of plane geometry in the process of explaining to others,on the other hand, they also exercised their communication skills. In general, students at each level have achieved better development on the basis of the original plane geometry learning. Therefore, applying the hierarchical cooperative teaching mode to plane geometry learning has good operability and demonstration.
