Understanding by Design(UbD)model is a kind of instructional Design mode dominated by reverse thinking.It was first proposed and operationally defined by American curriculum experts Wiggins and Mc Tighe.It takes learning results as the starting point of instructional design and emphasizes a highly innovative instructional design model with evaluation first.By using UbD model in teaching,it can not only meet the actual needs of students,but also promote the cultivation and improvement of students' various abilities and comprehensive qualities,which has a good teaching effect.Due to constantly in the course of reform in our country,and still more to the implementation of the new college entrance examination,the current focus of teaching has shifted,from the original tendency of light literacy teaching to become to pay attention to the development of subject core literacy,from the original teacher dominance to the current student body,from only grasp the knowledge into the students to understand and can use knowledge migration,attaches importance to the individual development of students.It can be found that the educational background of our country is consistent with the UbD model.Our country's educational background situation guides the school teaching,the most basic and fundamental form of school teaching is classroom teaching,and teachers often carry out classroom teaching activities on the basis of teaching design.So how to carry out the chemistry teaching design under the UbD model with Chinese characteristics in the middle school chemistry teaching in China has become a problem that many education researchers and teachers in the front line of middle school need to study deeply.This research in view of the present mode of UbD in the chemistry subject of research is still relatively rare,took the topic of organic compounds in high school chemistry as an example,through the literature retrieval and reading books,and analysed the research progress and current status of UbD model at home and abroad,clarified the theoretical basis related to the application of UbD model in teaching,expounded the design procedure of high school chemistry teaching based on UbD model.By applying it in the practice of chemistry classroom teaching,it was found that the high school chemistry teaching design based on UbD model has strong operability,feasibility and effectiveness.The content of this study is mainly divided into six parts,as follows:The first part: The introduction.On the basis of sorting out relevant literature and books,the education background of our country was explained,and the development progress of UbD model and the current research status at home and areas were mainly reviewed,the existing research results and deficiencies were understood,then the research purpose,research content,research significance,research method and research ideas of this article were determined.The second part: Concept definition and theoretical basis.This part firstly defined the there concepts of UbD model,teaching design,and understanding,and then analyzed the application in middle school chemistry teaching design on the base of UbD model from the five perspectives of the constructivism theory,goal theory,multi-intelligence theory,situational learning theory and results-oriented education theory,so as to provide theoretical support for the entire study.The third part: The current situation investigation of high school chemistry teachers' instructional design and students' chemistry learning of senior high school students.Through the questionnaire survey with high school front-line chemistry teachers as the respondents,the current situation of high school chemistry teachers' instructional design,the existing problems and the understanding of UbD model were understood.Through a questionnaire survey of students in Grade One,we knew the current situation of students' learning chemistry and their expectation of teachers' teaching.The statistical results and analysis of the current situation survey provided data support for the whole study.The fourth part: An overview of high school chemistry teaching design based on UbD model.This part firstly described the characteristics of UbD model;Secondly,it elaborated the high school chemistry instructional design program based on UbD model;then expounded the the principles of UbD model applied in high school chemistry teaching design;then it compared the high school chemistry teaching design based on UbD model with the traditional high school chemistry teaching design;Finally,it expounded the relationship between the high school chemistry teaching design based on UbD model and the core qualities of chemistry discipline.The fifth part: Case design and teaching demonstration research of high school chemistry teaching design based on UbD model.This part firstly took the content of "Understanding Organic Compounds" as an example to design the chemistry teaching design based on UbD model and the traditional chemistry teaching design respectively.The instructional design based on the UbD model was carried out by the author from three stages of determining expected outcomes,determining appropriate assessment evidence,designing learning experience and teaching,while the traditional instructional design was designed by the author and modified by the chemistry teachers in the practice school.Secondly,the teaching design based on the UbD model and the traditional teaching design were applied to the two classes with no significant difference respectively for teaching practice.Then,after the end of the practice,the results were tested in the form of the content test of "Understanding Organic Compounds",the students' self-rating scale,and the interview of the teachers with questionnaires.Through sorting and analyzing the data,the following conclusions were drawn:(1)It is practicable to use the high school chemistry teaching design based on UbD model in high school chemistry teaching.(2)The application of the high school chemistry teaching design based on UbD model in high school chemistry teaching is helpful for students to understand and master knowledge and improve their practical ability.(3)The application of the high school chemistry teaching design based on UbD model in high school chemistry teaching is conducive to students' self-construction of knowledge network,students realize the transfer and application of knowledge,and improve the teaching effect.(4)The application of the high school chemistry teaching design based on UbD mode in high school chemistry teaching is beneficial to improve students' reasoning ability,spatial imagination,information processing ability,ability to find and solve problems and cooperative exploration ability.(5)The high school chemistry teaching design based on UbD model is well liked and recognized by teachers and students.Finally,the research summary.The author first summarized and analyzed the shortcomings of this study,then analyzed the innovation points reflected in this study,and gave some suggestions of research combined with the problems in this study.In the hope of providing ideas and directions for the future research,but also for the implementation of UbD model based on the application of the high school chemistry instructional design to provide a certain reference.
