With the promulgation of the "General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017Edition)",the Ministry of Education has proposed the core literacy of six major mathematics subjects,and cultivating students’ core literacy of mathematics has become the ultimate goal of mathematics education.In order to respond to the curriculum reform,mathematics teachers should explore effective ways to cultivate the core literacy of mathematics.Based on these problems,such as: “How to cultivate the core literacy of students through the classroom? How to choose learning content based on core literacy?” This study finds that the UbD curriculum design provides a feasible way for the solution of the above-mentioned problems.Therefore,this study uses "plane vector and its application" as the carrier to carry out the UbD curriculum design.It is hoped that this study can provide a useful reference for frontline teachers’ teaching design that points to core literacy.First,through the literature research method,this study summarizes the current research status of plane vector teaching design and the UbD theory,and defines the concept of plane vector and the UbD theory,and sorts out the characteristics and framework of the UbD theory.This study provides theoretical basis.Secondly,the questionnaire survey method is used to investigate the current situation of high school mathematics teachers’ teaching design after the new textbooks put into use,and to analyze the existing problems in the teaching design of high school math teachers.That is to say,the current teaching has problems such as inconsistency between teaching and learning,inconsistent teaching evaluation,students’ poor understanding of knowledge,and unreasonable teaching goals.Provide a certain realistic basis for the development of this study.Finally,by analyzing the essence and characteristics of the UbD theory,and referring to relevant researches,combining the framework of the UbD theory and mathematics teaching elements to study the path of the unit design "plane vector and its application" based on the UbD theory,and give a teaching design case of "plane vector and its application" based on the UbD theory.The achievement of the teaching objectives of this chapter relies on the completion of 16 learning activities.These 16 learning activities require 28 class hours of teaching to complete.Therefore,the teaching content and main process of these 28 class hours are given,and the single-class teaching design is given.In summary,the main findings of this study are as follows:1.In the respect of teaching background,curriculum standards,screening comprehensible goals and basic questions,the "four bases" contained in the extraction unit,and emotional attitude values,the goal of the teaching design "plane vector and its application" based on the UbD theory is designed.2.According to the set goals and related teaching resources,the performance tasks,in-class tests,essay questions,unit tests and other evaluation activities are designed for the teaching design "plane vector and its application" based on the UbD theory.3.According to the set goals,evaluation activities and the WHERETO elements,the overall design of the teaching activities of the teaching design "plane vector and its application" based on the UbD theory.
