Among the five senses,the sence of touch is the most experiential way of body to perceive the outside world,even though its importance is often ignored in art education.Previous studies has found that blind children may even performs better in terms of art paintings than normal children,which proves that sence of touch is an important way of perception as well as visual sence and sometimes even more helpful to acquire information.Sincerity plays an important role in artistic performance.Sence of touch is one of the most keen perception of a person and is often an important way for art creation.The research of this paper conducts by three steps.First,through comparative research to explore how different perception methods affect the painting performance of junior high school students.Second,through the conclusion of the research to find teaching methods of tactile perception training in junior high school art teaching.Last,what is the effect of tactile perception training in junior high school art classes?In this paper,200 junior high school students were tested as subjects to study the influence of different perception methods(touch,vision,touch & vision)on painting performance.This research includes two experiments.Experiment 1,in order to choose the experimental materials that can best measure the level of painting performance of junior high school students,based on the "Torrance Children's Creativity Drawing Test Sheet",this experiment is trying to find under what conditions(with pre-provided drawings)the students have best painting performance.For Experiment 1,the independent variables are painting background and gender,the dependent variable is the individual's painting performance,and the control variable is the time of perceiving and the time of painting;Experiment 2,on the basis of Experiment 1,this experiment will further study the influence of the characteristics of different perception objects on painting performance under different perception methods,including the relationship between perception methods and painting performance.For Experiment 1,the independent variables are the way of perceiving,the different attributes of objects,and gender;the dependent variable is the individual's painting performance;the control variable is the order of perceiving,the time of perceiving,and the time of drawing.Based on the conclusion from above studies,this paper will design tactile perception training courses,aiming to analyze its value to improve painting performance of junior high school students according to the feedbacks from the courses.The result of this study shows that: there are significant differences in painting performance under different perception methods;the characteristics of painting objects affect the level of painting performance of junior high school students;gender affects painting performance.At the end of this paper,according to the influence of different perception methods on painting performance,it discusses the teaching methods of how to better carry out tactile perception training in art teaching.It is suggested that in the training of tactile perception,it is better to conduct tactile perception first,and in part of painting process it is best to conduct painting with visual & tactile perception.At last,this paper summaries the method of tactile perception training in art teaching and make prospects and suggestions.
