STEM education concept refers to the concept of integrated teaching by integrating various disciplines in the teaching process,focusing on cultivating comprehensive and innovative talents.At the end of 2015,the Ministry of Education included STEM education in the next five-year plan,and since then,STEM education has been paid more and more attention in China.In response to the policy needs,some domestic scholars have started to conduct research related to STEM education concepts,and the theory and practice have been improved day by day.In 2017,the Ministry of Education issued the Biology Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools(2017 Edition),in which scientific thinking is part of the goal of cultivating students' comprehensive literacy.The practical research of this paper takes the teaching under the STEM education concept as the guidance,aims at cultivating students' scientific thinking,and explores the feasibility of cultivating high school students' scientific thinking under the STEM education concept.In the early stage of practical activities,we should first study the theories and practices related to STEM education concepts,deeply understand the requirements of curriculum standards on students' scientific thinking cultivation,and find out the feasibility of STEM education concepts on the theoretical level to cultivate students' scientific thinking.After reviewing a large number of literatures related to STEM education concepts and scientific thinking,and sorting out the relevant research status at home and abroad,this paper defines the concept of STEM education concepts and scientific thinking based on previous explanations.After that,the overall research ideas are set and the research objects are determined.According to the learning situation of the research objects,teaching cases guided by STEM education concepts are designed to cultivate students' scientific thinking.Students' level of scientific thinking was measured before teaching practice,and teachers were interviewed about STEM education.The pre-test results show that there is no significant difference between the control class and the experimental class in the level of scientific thinking ability.After teaching practice,students were surveyed by questionnaire,and the test data were analyzed.The results show that STEM education can effectively improve students' scientific thinking ability.In the four dimensions of induction and summary,critical thinking,deduction and reasoning,and model and modeling are all improved.There are also many shortcomings in this practical research,such as the author's limited teaching ability and short practice time.In the future,when the majority of outstanding scholars conduct educational research,we hope that the conclusions of this paper can provide some theoretical and practical help.
