Physics is a natural discipline that studies the laws of matter movement and the structure of matter in the universe,while mathematics is a science that studies the relationship between spatial form and quantity.As two basic disciplines,they are always closely connected and interact with each other.Similarly,high school mathematics and physics,as the two basic courses of high school,are closely related,and mathematics will also have an impact on the teaching of physics.In order to explore the specific impact of mathematics on physics teaching,this article focuses on the electromagnetic part of high school mathematics and physics from the two aspects of positive transfer and negative transfer effects based on the transfer theory,and strives to comprehensively study the effects of mathematical knowledge on physical electromagnetics.This article has conducted research in both theory and practice.By the analysis of textbooks and college exam questions,it is found that the part of physical electromagnetics involves many and complex mathematical knowledge and circles,trigonometric functions and function images are the most frequently used..It can be concluded that both teachers and students generally believe that mathematical knowledge has a great influence on physics teaching and learning,especially in the teaching of physics laws and exercises by the investigation and analysis of students and teachers.In the teaching experiment research,it is found that mathematics knowledge will have positive and negative shifts in physics teaching,but the performance is not obvious in the A-level classes with better grades,and the middle-level B level and the relatively poor C level.The performance of the class is more obvious,and the performance is most obvious for the class with the middle grade B.The resuluts indicate that we should pay attention to the transfer effect of mathematical knowledge on physics teaching,actively promote the positive transfer of mathematical knowledge in physics teaching,and prevent the negative transfer of mathematical knowledge in physics teaching.In order to promote the occurrence of positive transfer,the following teaching strategies are proposed:(1)Physics teachers pay more attention to mathematical knowledge in physics teaching.(2)Schools should appropriately carry out teaching and research activities of physics and mathematics together.(3)Guide students to conduct research studies using mathematical knowledge.(4)Guide students to build a knowledge network system related to mathematics and physics.(5)Guide students to be good at using mathematical knowledge to solve physics problems.To avoid the occurrence of negative transfer,the teaching strategies that should be adopted are:(1)Consolidate the foundation of physics knowledge.(2)Guide students to distinguish between similar quantities in mathematics and physics,and various expressions.(3)Guide students to summarize.(4)It is necessary to prevent students from being purely mathematical in solving physics problems.
