Rule drawing is an indispensable content in mathematics curriculum in junior high school and has important educational and teaching value.This paper studies the following two questions :(1)what is the ability level of mathematics teachers in junior high school?(2)What is the teaching situation of the junior middle school mathematics teacher about the rule drawing?Taking the mathematics teachers of junior middle school in Xinjiang as the object of investigation,based on the existing research on the drawing ability and teaching present situation,the paper is compiled to study the drawing ability level of junior middle school mathematics teachers.Through the investigation of Xinjiang junior high school mathematics teacher’s rule drawing master level,it is found that :(1)junior high school mathematics teacher has a good grasp of the common sense of the rule drawing within the scope of the textbook,(2)the master outside the scope is not good.However,a few teachers’ geometric language expression ability and drawing habits need to be improved;(3)Mathematics teachers in junior high school have better ability to read the drawing of the rules;(4)Mathematics teachers in junior high school generally have a good grasp of the principles of drawing the rules;(5)Mathematics teachers in junior high school have the ability to use the rules to solve practical problems;(6)Junior high school mathematics teachers do not often test the content and the requirements of the curriculum standard,but the textbook involved in the content of the situation is not good,and the ability to expand the rules of the drawing is still lacking.Based on the investigation of the teaching status of the rule drawing of junior middle school mathematics teachers in Xinjiang,it is found that :(1)the teaching concept: most junior middle school mathematics teachers think that the rule drawing has important teaching value,easy to operate,intuitive,high accuracy intuition,high accuracy and comprehensiveness;(2)In the course of teaching,there is less history of mathematics related to ruler drawing,and some teachers have inappropriate content selection;(3)Most junior high school math teachers have no clear cognition of infiltration mathematics thought methods in ruler drawing;(4)The degree of attention: most junior high school mathematics teachers pay more attention to the drawing content of the regular test,in peacetime teaching and examination review will be carefully explained.Based on the above conclusions,some suggestions are put forward,hoping to provide reference for the teaching and research of junior high school mathematics teachers.
