In today's society,a lot of information related to life is transmitted and exchanged in the form of data.To obtain information from the data,it must be through the data collation and analysis process,so a variety of statistical charts become the best tool.Primary school also attach great importance to statistical knowledge.Pupils in the process of data compilation,description,analysis and inference experience the statistical process,ln the "Mathematics Curriculum Standard",statistics and probability are listed as one of the four major modules,and it also clearly proposes to train students' data analysis concepts.Therefore,it is very important for primary school students to understand what students have learned after finishing all the studies.In this study,the sixth grade primary school students were the subjects of the study.Students' information was collected through the distribution of test papers,and statistical results were obtained through tool analysis.The statistical results show that the level of primary school students' understanding of statistical graphs has came up to description,comparison,analysis,and calculation,but there is still a lack of reasoning and production of statistical graphs.And it is also found that the student's calculation ability still needs to be strengthened,and the inference ability and application consciousness are weak;Primary school students have the best grasp of bar graphs,and students have more problems in inferring and producing the broken line graphs,and they have insufficient understanding of"unit one"on fan-shaped graphs.Based on the statistical results,researcher give some suggestions for teachers and students.There are three suggestions fort teachers,first,pay attention to standardizing students'responses and try to answer them in a standard mathematical language.Second,pay attention to the development of students' ability to comprehend statistical charts.Third,focus on the production of statistical charts and guide students.The suggestions for the students are:First,the students should strengthen their learning and attention to comprehension of statistical charts.Second,students should strengthen the connection between study and life.Third,students should practice hard and be good at using the rich learning resources.
