| Objective: This study was conducted to compare and analyse the effects of PNF stretching(Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Stretch)and static stretching on the performance of sitting forward bend students in physical education secondary school examinations. This study was conducted to verify the effect of unassisted PNF stretching on the performance of sitting forward bend students in PE,to compare the effect of PNF stretching and static stretching on the performance of sitting forward bend, and to investigate the moment of maximum value-added of sitting forward bend performance after stretching,to seek scientific exercise methods to improve the performance of sitting forward bend students in PE,and to provide a theoretical basis for daily training.Theoretical basis for daily training. Methods: This paper used interviews, questionnaires and experiments to study 28students(14 males and 14 females)who were required to take the seated forward bend test for the physical education midterm. The subjects were asked whether they felt muscle contraction, being stretched and pain during the stretching process, and they filled in a subjective exertion questionnaire at the end of the stretching.Sitting forward bend test, only one time point per stretching intervention.Results:(1)There was a significant difference(P < 0.05)between men and women before and after all three stretching stretches. With the exception of the 6min and 8min post-static stretch, where the value added was higher in men than in women, the value added was higher in women than in men at all other stretching methods and time points, with significant differences between men and women at 2min and 4min post-static stretch and immediately and 2min post-assisted PNF stretch(P < 0.05).(2)There was a significant difference(P < 0.05)in the value-added of seated forward bending after different stretches in men and women, and a significant difference(P < 0.05)in the value-added of seated forward bending after different stretches at the same time point in both men and women. There were significant differences between static and assisted PNF stretches, static and unassisted PNF stretches at all five time points(P < 0.05),and between assisted and unassisted PNF stretches at 2 min and 6 min post-stretch(P < 0.05).The value added was in descending order of magnitude from assisted PNF stretching, unassisted PNF stretching and static stretching.(3)There were significant differences in the value-added of sitting front bod y at different time points between men and women after stretching(P<0.05).(1)Men: After static stretching, there were significant differences between immediatel y and 8min;2min and 6min,8min;4min and 8min;6min and 8min(P<0.05).A fter using assisted PNF stretching, there were significant differences between im mediately and 8min;2min and 6min,8min;4min and 8min;6min and 8min(P<0.05).Using unassisted PNF stretching, there were significant differences between immediate and 6min,8min;2min and 6min,8min;4min and 8min;6min and 8min(P<0.05).(2)Women: After static stretching, there were significant differences between immediately and 2min,6min,8min;2min and 6min,8min;4min and 6min,8min;6min and 8min(P<0.05).There were significant differences between immediate and 4min,6min,8min;2min and 4min,6min,8min;4min and 8min;6min and 8min(P<0.05).After unassisted PNF stretching, there’re significant diff erences between immediately and 6min,8min;2min and 6min,8min;4min and6 min,8min;6min and 8min(P<0.05).The value-added of stretched seated forwa rd flexion was: 2min>immediately>4min>6min>8min after stretching, and static st retching was: 2min>4min>immediately>6min>8min after stretching;with assisted PNF stretching Stretching is: 2min>immediately>4min>6min>8min after stretching;unassisted PNF stretching increment is: immediately >2min>4min>6min>8min.Conclusions:(1)All three types of stretching can improve sitting forward bend performance, with women improving more than men,and all three types of stretching can be used to improve sitting forward bend performance.(2)After the stretching intervention, the effect of different stretches on sitting forward bend performance in men and women was: assisted PNF stretch > unassisted PNF stretch > static stretch. The unassisted PNF stretch was also more effective in improving sitting forward bend performance, although less effective than the assisted PNF stretch, but better than the static stretch.(3)The best results for different stretches of seated forward bend were achieved with assisted PNF stretching, which was best at 2 min after stretching, followed by unassisted PNF stretching, which was best immediately after stretching, and finally static stretching, which was best at 2 min after stretching. |
