The implementation of "core subject literacy" has also become a distinct value orientation of the new round of curriculum reform. The GCSE Music Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)clearly states that the core qualities of the subject of music consist of three components:"aesthetic perception","artistic expression" and "cultural understanding".The core qualities of the music curriculum are composed of "aesthetic perception","artistic expression" and "cultural understanding".The three-dimensional objectives of the curriculum have always framed the core literacies of music in primary and secondary schools, and with the inclusion of music academic quality assessment for junior secondary school students in the Chinese language examinations, classroom teaching has been presented with new challenges.Firstly, the curriculum and teaching activities in schools are usually taught in units of lesson time, neglecting the correlation between lesson time and lesson time.Less structured research and practice is carried out in units, themes and modules, resulting in the establishment of three-dimensional objectives lacking an overall grasp of the content and requirements of the curriculum, which is not conducive to the accurate implementation of the essence of the curriculum standards.Secondly, how the same learning content can be adapted to students with different foundations within the same time period requires teachers to make new plans for the content of the materials in terms of their functional orientation.Once again, how to create the necessary activities and provide the necessary learning experiences for students within the limited class time is related to the formation of students' core literacy in the subject.Based on the above understanding, this paper will focus on the exploration and practice of teaching large units. This thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is a brief overview of deep learning and large-unit instructional design and the theoretical foundations. The second chapter takes the pathway of teaching design for the middle school music unit as an entry point, and is divided into four parts:curriculum ideas, teaching approaches, academic assessment, and resource design for generalization. The effects of the large unit design are explored and analyzed in terms of the development of the curriculum, and the implementation stance of teaching and learning. The third section investigates and analyses the problems, solution strategies and value implications of conducting junior high school music large-unit teaching in the context of deep learning to ensure the feasibility of largeunit teaching development and practice. Finally, based on the results of the current experiments in junior high school unit teaching, optimization and rectification are carried out,and a personal outlook on junior high school music curriculum development is also presented.Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator(free version)This paper will elaborate on the specific practice paths and related theoretical support based on my own professional orientation and teaching practice experience, focusing on curriculum values and teaching objectives, curriculum concepts and teaching design, subject characteristics and learning styles, educational philosophy and assessment implementation, and educational technology and resource support.
