In contemporary mathematics education,cultivating students' mathematical innovation ability has become the common goal of mathematics teachers,and innovation ability is closely related to reasonable reasoning ability.Only by paying attention to the development of students' reasonable reasoning ability,can it be more conducive to the development of students.This study aims to study the current situation of junior middle school students'reasonable reasoning ability and the problems existing in students' reasonable reasoning ability,And put forward some suggestions to improve students' reasonable reasoning ability.Firstly,using the literature research method,this paper combs the existing research on this subject,defines the connotation and essence of plausible reasoning,and formulates the evaluation framework of plausible reasoning.Secondly,the test investigation method is used to investigate the mathematical plausible reasoning ability of Grade 8 students,and based on the score and level division of the test,it is analyzed from three aspects:the overall situation,the content dimension and the method dimension The survey finds that:the plausible reasoning ability of Grade 8 students is generally at the upper middle level,and only a few students are at the level of 0,but there are great differences in the plausible reasoning ability between students;Eighth grade students have the strongest plausible reasoning ability in graphics and geometry,and the weakest plausible reasoning ability in statistics and probability;The eighth grade students have the strongest analogical reasoning ability,the weaker inductive reasoning ability and the weakest statistical reasoning ability;There are significant differences in plausible reasoning ability of Grade 8 students in school,but there is no significant difference in gender.Thirdly,with the help of teacher interviews and wrong questions in students'test papers,this paper analyzes the factors affecting the ability of plausible reasoning of Grade 8 students.The results show that teachers do not have a deep understanding of the relevant theoretical knowledge of plausible reasoning and do not pay enough attention to the cultivation of plausible reasoning;The current teaching materials have disadvantages in cultivating students' reasonable reasoning ability;Students' weak mastery of basic knowledge,unclear application of logical rules and bad problem-solving habits have a great impact on reasonable reasoning.Finally,according to the wrong questions in the student test paper and the results of the teacher interview,this paper analyzes the reasons affecting the students' reasonable reasoning ability,and gives some suggestions on how to improve the students' reasonable reasoning ability from the two aspects of teachers and students.
