The new curriculum reform adheres to the concept of the development of every student and the all-round development of students,and actively advocates new learning methods,of which cooperative learning is one.Mathematics cooperative learning cannot do without mathematics communication.Students' good mathematical communication literacy is helpful to teachers' teaching and students' learning,so it is necessary to study students' mathematical communication literacy.The main problem of this paper is: what is the connotation of mathematical communication literacy and from what aspects to understand the eighth grade students' mathematical communication literacy? What is the current situation of eighth grade students' mathematics communication literacy? What are the factors that affect the development of students' mathematical communication literacy? In order to solve the above problems,the author uses the method of literature analysis to explore the connotation of mathematical communication literacy,determines from which aspects to understand the eighth grade students' mathematical communication literacy,and uses the methods of questionnaire survey,observation and interview to understand the current situation and influencing factors of students' Mathematical Communication literacy,the conclusions are as follows:(1)The "mathematical communication literacy" of this study refers to the comprehensive embodiment of students' emotional attitude and ability to accept and express information by using the existing mathematical knowledge in mathematical activities.According to the connotation,this study understands the eighth grade students' mathematical communication literacy from five aspects of mathematical communication affection,perception and understanding,mathematical expression,problem solving,and research and exploration.(2)The eighth grade students have reached level 2 in the four aspects of mathematics communication,perception and understanding,problem solving,discussion and exploration,and the overall level of mathematics expression is between level 1 and level 2.The five levels from high to low are: problem solving,discussion and exploration,exchange of feelings,perception and understanding,mathematical expression.(3)There are significant differences in five aspects of mathematical communication literacy between urban and rural eighth graders,especially in perception and mathematical expression,and the average of each aspect of urban eighth graders is higher.There are significant differences in all aspects of mathematics communication literacy among eighth grade students with different academic levels.The questionnaire survey found that the higher the academic level of students,the higher the average in all aspects of mathematics communication literacy.(4)For the eighth grade students in this study,the reason for the low average of mathematical communication literacy is the low average of communication willingness,mathematical expression and reflection consciousness.It is found that students' communication willingness,mathematical expression and application reflection level have a certain impact on students' mathematical communication literacy.Based on the above conclusions,this study puts forward four suggestions for teachers to cultivate students' mathematical communication literacy: pay attention to the cultivation of students' mathematical expression ability;Create appropriate communication situation in the classroom;Deal with the relationship between the cultivation of mathematical communication literacy and independent thinking;Help students form the habit of reflection and summary.
