"General High School Biology Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)" emphasizes the need to participate in the discussion of personal and social affairs and make decisions based on the understanding of biology.The ability to make informed decisions on science-related social issues is considered an important attribute of scientific literacy.Therefore,teachers should pay attention to social issues related to biology in teaching,and cultivating social decision-making ability in the teaching of socioscientific issues can cultivate the core literacy of biology disciplines and improve the sense of social responsibility.It has important theoretical and practical significance.Researchers comb domestic and foreign literature on socioscientific issues and social decision-making skills in order to understand the current research status of empirical research on socioscientific issues at home and abroad and the concept,constituent elements,and teaching models of social decision-making skills.Make a solid theoretical foundation for this research.On the basis of literature reading,the researcher made questionnaires and the evaluation analysis scales of social decision-making skills as the research tools of this study to analyze the performance of students' social decision-making skills;social decision-making skills includes decision-making mode,reasoning mode and reasoning level,The teaching mode draws on the teaching mode of foreign scholar Ratcliffe's social decision-making skills,designing structured decision-making tasks,the teaching mode of social decision-making skills is divided into six links,from the recognition of the issue to the issue decision,and two teaching cases are designed according to the teaching mode.In terms of practical research,the researcher conducted a survey on the status quo of social decision-making skills of high school students in high schools in Nanjing.The survey results show that high school students perform well in decision-making mode,at an intermediate level,and poor perform in reasoning mode and level of reasoning,at a lowermiddle level;Sophomore students perform well in decision-making mode,reasoning mode and reasoning level,all at the middle level.In summary,the social decision-making skills of the students in the first and second grades of high school needs to be improved;and a certain class of the school is selected for the teaching practice of cultivating social decision-making skills.The teaching practice process of this research attempts to use classroom activities that let high school students participate in the decision-making process of real Socioscientific issues,and analyze the practical effects of the teaching model through the results of questionnaires and interviews.The conclusions of this study are:(1)The teaching model of social decision-making skills can promote students to make decisions based on evidence;(2)It can promote students to put forward arguments and reasoning from multiple angles,(3)It can promote the number of arguments that students put forward for different purposes and improve the level of reasoning;(4)The preparation of assessment tools needs to focus on multiple topic situations?Procedural decision-making steps help students solve problems from multiple angles purposefully and fully considering the value of relevant scientific knowledge,rational arguments and potential options.This teaching model has certain validity and can provide a reference for front-line teachers to cultivate students' social decision-making skills.
