The 2017 version of the "General High School Biology Curriculum Standards" was promulgated.The document clearly stated that the core literacy of biology should be cultivated.The biology education field is based on the purpose of updating educational content,innovating educational methods,and innovative educational models.A new round of biology education reform.Understanding the essence of science is what the core literacy should be.The biology curriculum standards in our country have also mentioned many times that the study of the essence of science will help improve students' core literacy in biology.However,related research shows that the level of scientific essence view of middle school students in my country Generally not high,so it is imperative to improve the view of the nature of science of our middle school students.HPS education is an education model that points to the cultivation of the concept of the essence of science.Its educational content includes science history education,science philosophy education,and science sociology education.Therefore,this research tries to apply HPS education in biology teaching and explores the impact of HPS education in high schools.The influence of the concept of the essence of bioscience.This research first uses the literature research method to define the related concepts of HPS education and the concept of the essence of science;secondly,the questionnaire survey method is used to investigate the high school biology group teachers to understand the application status of HPS education in high school biology classrooms,and provide a certain level for follow-up research.In addition,select the three teaching fragments of "Structure and Function of Plasma Membrane","Enzyme",and "Solving the Mystery of Photosynthesis" for teaching design based on HPS education to highlight the essence of science;and then select the high school of Nanjing No.9 Middle School The two classes in the grade are used as the control class and the experimental class to conduct educational experiments.The control class adopts the conventional education model,and the experimental class adopts the HPS education model.The scientific nature view questionnaire is used to determine the level of the scientific nature view of the students in the two classes to understand student science Changes in the concept of nature;finally,combined with the survey and experimental results,suggestions are made for the application of HPS education in high school biology.The research results show that there is no significant difference between the control class and the experimental class in the pretested scientific essence view level,and the post-tested scientific essence view level is significantly different,especially in the two dimensions of the essence of scientific knowledge and the essence of scientific career,while the essence of scientific inquiry is significant.There is no significant difference.These results indicate that the application of HPS education in biology teaching is conducive to improving the students' view of the essence of science,and then improving the students' core literacy of biology.Therefore,it is necessary to apply HPS education in high school biology to deepen students' understanding of the essence of science.
