In July 2001,the Standard(Experimental Draft)was officially promulgated,and People's Education Press published Mathematics(renjiao old edition for short).After ten years of accumulation,the Standard(2011 edition)was published in December2011,The People's Education Press also republished Mathematics(renjiao new edition for short).It takes the new and old textbooks of People's Education Press as the research object,takes the content of “figure and geometry” as the carrier,and takes “what changes are there in the new textbook's figure and geometry content compared with the old textbook” as the research question.Based on the development of Van Hiele theory,this paper uses the literature analysis method and the content analysis method to construct the analysis framework of primary school mathematics textbooks.By comparing the horizontal distribution of geometric thinking in the contents of“Figures and Geometry” in the two editions of textbooks,and selecting the content of“cylinder” in the two editions of textbooks,the similarities and differences of the textbooks are summarized,so as to facilitate the in-depth understanding of “Standard(2011 edition)” and provide suggestions for textbook writing and teachers' teaching.The findings:1.In the content of “Figures and Geometry” of the two editions of textbooks,the knowledge arrangement and development sequence are the same,and new knowledge is introduced from geometric intuition.2.The two editions follow different curriculum standards.The old version of renjiao follows the Standard(experimental draft),while the new version of renjiao follows the Standard(2011 edition).3.When the two editions of textbooks introduce new knowledge,the order of presentation of some knowledge points is different,and the emphasis of content is different.4.In terms of the level of geometric thinking,the contents of the old edition and the new edition are consistent with van Hiele theory of geometric thinking level,which is a transition from a lower level to a higher level.In contrast,the old version pays more attention to students' direct hands-on operation,while the new version pays more attention to the development of students' logical thinking ability.5.The two editions of textbooks are also different in the transition of geometric thinking level and the overall knowledge processing methods of each grade.Finally,based on the comparative analysis of the old and new textbooks,the following suggestions are put forward for the compilation of the content of “Figure and geometry” in the primary school mathematics textbook:1.Appropriately add several “synthesis and practice” related to the content of“graphics and geometry”,guide students to review the old knowledge by means of elf hints at the beginning of some specific units,and set some comprehensive questions on exercises.2.When the textbook is arranged,it should accord with the geometric thinking level of primary school students and connect the two geometric thinking levels well.3.Guide students to practice “synthesis and practice” and make good use of Van Hiele theory in teaching.
