Fiction is an important content and carrier of high school Chinese reading teaching,and also an important channel to cultivate students' critical thinking,especially through the reading teaching in the aspects of plot narration,character description and environment description in novels.Therefore,the teaching of novel reading is an important way to cultivate the critical thinking of senior high school students.This paper combines critical thinking training with high school novel reading teaching,and puts forward maneuverable strategies and methods according to the current situation of high school students' novel reading.The research results are helpful to promote the development of high school students' critical thinking.Critical thinking is a kind of enlightening and reflective excellent thinking quality,which is the basis for high school students to cultivate other quality thinking quality.In this era of advocating innovative thinking,people with critical thinking and skills are urgently needed.At the same time,one of the professional core qualities required to be cultivated in high school Chinese discipline is the improvement and development of student number thinking quality.Therefore,the cultivation of critical thinking has received extensive attention in the teaching activities of Chinese subject.Critical thinking habits and ways of thinking not only contribute to the overall development of high school students' quality,but also serve as the basis for the cultivation of high school students' innovative ability,which helps to improve their ability to adapt to the rapid development of the innovative era.This paper mainly consists of four parts.The first part is the introduction,the content is the research significance,research status and research methods.The second part introduces the concept of critical thinking and critical reading,and demonstrates the relationship between them.Finally,it is concluded that one of the best ways to train high school students' critical thinking is to train high school novels reading.The third part analyzes the current situation of novel reading teaching.Based on the author's study experience and questionnaire survey,it summarizes and analyzes the problems existing in novel reading of high school students from the perspectives of students and teaching.The fourth partIn view ofthe above problems,it puts forward specific strategies to cultivate critical thinking,including teaching methods,teaching processes,teaching models and teaching plans,etc.,and puts forward operational strategies in a systematic and comprehensive way.
