The release of 2017 chemical curriculum standard for senior high school has clarified the essence of chemistry,condensed the core literacy of chemistry,updated teaching content,and put forward the main idea of developing the core literacy of chemistry.This means we have entered a new round of curriculum reform.Guangdong province is one of the third group of provinces which participates the new college entrance examination.According to statistics,among the provinces participating the new college entrance examination,there is less than 50% of senior high school students who choose chemistry as the college entrance examination subject,only 14.83% in Jiangsu province.As front-line chemistry teachers,we are facing an extremely serious challenge.Therefore,it is urgent to change the teaching strategies in the daily teaching and manage to improve the students' interest in learning chemistry.Fu Ying,the famous educator and chemist in China,have ever said: “People get knowledge from chemistry and get wisdom from the chemical history”.The chemical history is a system history describing natural environment and chemistry knowledge in the human society during the long process of social practice,which vividly describes the cognitive accumulation process of chemical knowledge,and reproduces the evolution of chemical thought.It is the high generalization and sublimation of the development of Chemistry.The form and content system of chemical history determine its irreplaceable educational value.Application of chemical history education in the class is helpful for improving the students' interest in learning chemistry and cultivating the students' core literacy of chemistry.This research adopts literature method to collect and collate literature about education of chemical history,teaching design of redox reaction and chemical power.In the education of chemical history,most of them just stay at the theoretical stage and relatively few are applied to classroom practice.There are many teaching designs of redox reaction,with multiple teaching methods,few of which are combined with the history of Chemistry.And only 18 search results are about teaching design of chemical power supply,only 4 of which are conducted around chemical history.The teaching designs of "redox reaction" and "chemical power source" conducted on the history of chemistry can provide more teaching design materials for teachers.This research object are the students from Jinwan School,Guangdong Experimental Middle School,Zhuhai.According to the subject selection of students from Jinwan School,Guangdong Experimental Middle School,Zhuhai,only 48.18%of them choose chemistry as the college entrance examination subject.Interview method is adopted to investigate the reasons of students' subject selection.Mostly,they choose subject from the perspective of interest,scores,college enrollment and so on.Most of students in the first year of senior high school are not sure which industry they will be engaged in,while only a small number of students have clear occupation goals.Thus,a few of them consider the subject selection from the perspective of occupation goals.Starting from the perspectives of improving students' interest in learning chemistry and providing career guidance in daily education,chemical history education is an effective path to improve students' interest in learning chemistry.According to the suggestions on applying chemical history data in the general high school chemistry curriculum standard of 2017 edition,chemical history data are used at high-frequency in the scenario material proposal,which shows the importance of chemical education in the development of students' core literacy of chemistry;Contrast method is adopted from perspectives of system,column setup and content to compare with the changes of the old and new textbooks of PEP Chemistry Book one(compulsory),and to make a detailed statistics of the chapters,methods,columns,contents and the development of the core literacy of chemistry in the two textbooks and to conduct contrast analysis with redox reaction as an example,which shows the change of the educational status of chemical history.According to the general high school chemistry curriculum standard of 2017 edition and the contrast of old and new textbooks of PEP Chemistry Book one(compulsory),in the new around of curriculum reform,chemical history education will play an important role in the development of students' core literacy of chemistry.Practice method is adopted combined with chemical history,taking the courses of “redox reaction” and "chemical power supply" as examples,to introduce how to develop the students' core literacy of Chemistry by using the history of chemistry,and it is showed that the education of chemistry history has a positive effect on the students' examination results through the analysis of the change of examination results and the selection of subjects.
