Primary school is the key period for improving students' oral arithmetic ability. It is of great significance to improve students' oral arithmetic ability. This paper is divided into four parts in order to investigate the current situation of the oral arithmetic ability of the lower primary school students. The first part discusses the value of oral arithmetic from various aspects, expounds the related concepts of oral arithmetic ability, sorts out and summarizes the requirements and content of oral arithmetic ability of low level primary school students, provides strong theoretical support for the research, and makes full preparations for the investigation of oral arithmetic ability of low level primary school students. In the second part, the objects of this paper are the students and teachers in the lower section of Y Primary school.Text analysis method, test method, interview method and classroom observation method are used to carry out the investigation.First of all, using the test method to investigate the students' explicit index level of oral calculation.Secondly, the interview method and classroom observation method are used to understand the oral arithmetic interest, habits and strategies of lower primary school students to analyze the internal indicators of oral arithmetic ability. Then, according to the two aspects of the data to discuss the level of oral calculation ability of primary school students, the survey found that the students with high oral calculation ability have high level, high interest, good habits, advanced strategy and high frequency of oral calculation practice;Students with moderate oral arithmetic ability showed moderate level of oral arithmetic, higher interest in oral arithmetic, better habit of oral arithmetic, more advanced oral arithmetic strategy and higher frequency of oral arithmetic practice.Students with low oral arithmetic ability showed low level, low interest, poor habits, low oral arithmetic strategy and low frequency of oral arithmetic practice. It can be seen that both explicit and intrinsic indicators play an important role in evaluating students' oral arithmetic ability. The third part, from the actual situation of oral arithmetic teaching, through the analysis of survey data, from different angles to explore the factors that affect the oral arithmetic ability of students in the lower section: the influencing factors of students mainly include: the level of interest, the quality of habits and the choice of strategies; The main influencing factors of teachers are: the deviation of the concept of oral calculation, the unreasonable design of oral calculation and the single evaluation of oral calculation. The influencing factors of the oral arithmetic ability of lower primary school students are not single factors, which should be explored from multiple angles,so as to put forward solutions according to the influencing factors. The fourth part, according to the factors affecting the oral calculation ability of the lower level of primary school students put forward the corresponding strategies:the students' strategies include: the diversification of oral calculation methods to stimulate interest, cultivate the good habit of being careful, strengthen the understanding of the best strategy internalization; At the teacher level, the strategies include: improving the knowledge and understanding of the concept of oral arithmetic, designing reasonable and effective oral arithmetic exercises and multi-evaluation to promote the cultivation of good habits. It is necessary to combine teaching theory with teaching practice to improve the oral arithmetic ability of lower grade students in primary schools.Through the investigation and study, want to be able to cause the attention of teachers to the students' oral ability and thinking,to better improve the students' oral ability.
