The proposal of national economic plans such as the "13th Five-Year Plan" and "14th Five-Year Plan" and the update of geography curriculum standards have put forward higher requirements for the regional cognitive literacy among high school students' geographic core literacy.The connotation of regional cognitive literacy of high school students is gradually enriched,and its status becomes more and more important.Therefore,this paper conducts research on the advanced cultivation of regional cognitive ability of high school students.The main research outlines are as follows:Firstly,the target training structure of regional cognitive ability of high school students at different stages is mainly constructed from five elements: regional spatial orientation,geographic phenomenon cognition,geographic phenomenon comparison,geographic phenomenon connection,and planning ability.The analysis of the target training structure of regional cognitive ability of high school students at different stages reveals that,the geography teaching focuses on the cultivation of students' cognitive ability of regional geographical phenomena in grand one of senior high school;teachers pay attention to the cultivation of students' regional comparison and connection ability in grand two of senior high school;the geography teaching focused on the development of students' regional planning ability in grand three of senior high school.Secondly,investigated the current situation of regional cognitive ability training of senior high school students at different stages and its causes.The results showed that the five major abilities of students' regional orientation were progressively improved in senior high school.However,due to the low proportion of resources and ways to effectively promote the development of regional cognitive ability in high school students' school or life,the difficulty of regional geography learning in high school increased with grades;the regional geography teaching methods adopted by teachers tent to be single and boring,and the high school students' satisfaction with the teaching methods gradually decreased.Although the improvement of regional cognitive ability of high school students was obvious,there was still a certain gap between the requirements of regional cognitive ability of high school students at different stages.Based on the available results and field interviews,this paper proposes teaching suggestions in terms of grasping the connection of knowledge in high school geography textbooks,improving teaching methods according to students' learning conditions,and broadening resources and ways for high school students to acquire regional geography knowledge.Thirdly,with the example of Industrial Location Factors and Their Changes,the teaching practice exploration of the advanced cultivation of regional cognitive ability of high school students is carried out.The practical results show that the case design is in line with the students' learning situation and basically meets the teaching objectives,which is conducive to cultivating students' geographic and local awareness,and effectively promotes the advanced cultivation of high school students' regional cognitive ability.To sum up,this paper analyzes the structure of regional cognitive ability cultivation goals of high school students at different stages,analyzes the current situation and dilemma of regional cognitive ability training of high school students at different stages;and puts forward teaching suggestions for advanced cultivation of high school students' regional cognitive ability;and then carry out relevant teaching practice and evaluate its effectiveness,in order to provide case support and theoretical guidance for the cultivation of high school students' geographic core literacy.
