Project-based learning is a teaching method which is guided by constructivism theory and carries out project planning and solving project tasks in the way of group cooperation. The purpose and significance of this study is to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of projectbased learning in senior high school chemistry teaching, and provide ideas and reference for front-line chemistry teachers to carry out project-based learning.Based on the relevant literature, this paper compiled a questionnaire on the basis of chemical project-based learning for senior high school students, and investigated 303 students of grade 2 in a senior high school. The questionnaire statistics found that students' demands are very consistent with the characteristics and advantages of project-based learning. Most students tend to try project-based learning. Therefore, the implementation of project-based learning in senior high school chemistry class has a good foundation.Based on the survey results and project-based learning theory, this paper puts forward the design principles and operation elements of project-based learning in senior high school chemistry class. This paper summarizes the process of designing and implementing projectbased learning lesson examples: firstly, disassemble the project according to the teaching content and put forward the driving problems;Secondly, design the project activities and project works, and prepare the learning support according to the needs of the project;Furthermore, design evaluation scales such as achievement evaluation, process evaluation and test paper; Finally,it evaluates students' knowledge acquisition and ability development in project activities.Writer checks the project-based learning topics out from "Chemical Reaction Principle".The project design is carried out by selecting "heavy calendar century alkali making road" and "methanol ecosystem".Two classes with no significant difference are selected. One is used as the teaching of project-based learning in the experimental class and the other as the control class.Through the analysis of the evaluation data of the two implementation cases,it is found that project-based learning can ensure the effective completion of teaching tasks, help students understand and construct knowledge, and improve students' language expression, cooperative communication, scientific exploration and problem-solving ability. It is feasible and effective to apply project-based learning to chemistry classroom teaching in senior high school, and students can recognize project-based learning.Based on the implementation experience, this paper analyzes the limitations of project-based learning in middle schools and puts forward some corresponding suggestions.Due to the limitation of practical conditions, there are few cases involved in this paper. It is also necessary to continue to develop project cases in future teaching practice to contribute to the development of project-based learning.
