"Happy reading " is one of the plates of unified edition of Chinese textbook in primary school,which directly points to extracurricular reading in elementary school.Extracurricular reading is an important part of Chinese reading teaching,it has an important influence on enlarging students' reading horizon and enriching their spiritual and cultural life.Unified edition of Chinese textbook in primary school specially sets "happy reading " column,and incorporates extracurricular reading into teaching system,which has great significance on increasing students' extracurricular reading,cultivating good reading habits,improving students' reading comprehension ability and enhancing their Chinese literacy.However,in the actual Chinese teaching practice,the classroom teaching of "Happy Reading " is still in the exploratory stage,and it lacks professional and normative guidance,no systematic teaching model has been formed.Therefore,exploring the design concept and teaching strategies of "Happy Reading " will provide references for the extracurricular reading teaching of front-line teachers.Research on the design characteristics and concept of "Happy Reading" is the key to design its teaching strategy.This paper analyzes the design characteristics of "Happy Reading" from three aspects: content,arrangement and function.In terms of content,"Happy Reading Bar" has the characteristics of distinct reading themes,rich reading lists,practical reading strategies and concise reading guides.In terms of arrangement,it is characterized by leading position arrangement,plurality of stylistic style and laddering of content arrangement.In terms of function,it has the characteristics of extending in-class reading,expanding extracurricular reading and penetrating the whole book.According to these design characteristics,relevant design concepts are excavated: "Trinity" reading concept,"1+X" expanding reading concept,reading concept of the whole book and curricular concept of Extracurricular reading.According to the design characteristics and design concept of "Happy Reading ",taking the teaching goal as the starting point,the teaching content of "Happy Reading " should be made clear first,and then the teaching strategies should be designed.First,reading theme of "happy reading" in 1 to 6 grade is divided into three categories :nursery rhymes,stories and novels.Then,the corresponding reading method is taught according to these three kinds of different style.Finally,with the help of the introduction class,the promotion class and the demonstration class,students' extracurricular reading is carried out and good reading habits are formed.This paper studies the design concept and teaching strategies of "Happy Reading ",I hope it can provide references for the teaching practice of front-line teachers.
