Chinese Extra-Curricular Reading of middle school is about how to arouse the students' interest in extracurricular reading, improve their reading ability, enhance writing skills, and improve their personality in the current era of cultural diversity. It is the extension of Chinese Teaching of Reading. It is of great importance for the students to expand their knowledge, enhance quality and improve the literary personality and at the same time, it served as a bridge between the current research learning. This paper is about the problems of the Chinese extra-curricular reading of middle school and focuses on problem-solving guiding strategy, tracing the history of reading to interpret the nature of reading, following the new curriculum standards and building reading system etc. At the same time, with a certain quantum of the theory and methodology of Pedagogy and reading, it is aimed to guide the training of the students' reading ability.
