With the deepening of the new curriculum reform and the school's attention to the comprehensive ability of middle school students,and with the attention to the comprehensive ability of middle school students under the new curriculum reform,the word "core quality" is introduced into the public view.The fundamental ability of mathematics is abstraction,therefore,the abstract ability of mathematics in the core literacy is self-evident,and mathematics educators pay more and more attention to it.We should seize the critical period of teaching to promote the improvement of students' intellectual level in this stage.Based on the intellectual level and cognitive development ability of junior high school students,this paper conducts a series of studies on cultivating their mathematical abstract ability.This paper mainly adopts four research methods,namely literature research method,questionnaire method,interview method and analysis method,aiming to reflect the current situation of mathematical abstract ability of junior high school students and its influencing factors by investigating the students of a junior high school in Hefei.Mathematics teachers and individual students in the three grades of junior high school were interviewed.On this basis,through the comparative experiment of before and after testing,combined with the cognitive development theory and Freidenthal mathematical thought,the targeted teaching suggestions are put forward.This paper compiled the Teacher Interview Test Volume,and adapted the Mathematical Abstract Ability Test Volume and the Questionnaire on the Impact Factors of Mathematical Abstract Ability.Based on the study results,the following study conclusions are drawn:(1)At the present stage,teacher teaching is mainly traditional teaching,the cultivation of mathematical abstract ability of middle school students not enough attention;(2)In terms of mathematical abstract ability,junior high school students' abstract ability of representational type is higher than the principled abstract ability and constructive abstract ability;(3)Compared with the three dimensions of abstract ability,middle school students have lower scores in their interest,internal motivation and methods in learning mathematics.Based on the survey results,the following teaching suggestions:(1)Let the students intuitialize the abstract mathematical concepts through independent exploration;(2)Emphasis the establishment of mathematical models in teaching,so as to solve practical mathematical problems;(3)The correct use of information teaching means in the mathematics teaching classroom.
