As an indispensable component of teaching materials,exercises can realize a various of educating functions,including setting learning goals,stimulating active learning,promoting all-round development,diagnosing and feeding back problems.This research selects and analyzes the physics exercises in the sub-volume of the mainstream science textbook?Science Explorers-Motion,Force and Energy?.Revelations for compiling exercises of textbooks in China are put forward,aiming to contribute to the revision work of exercises of physics textbooks of junior middle school.Based on the reference and analysis of the ?Science Explorer?research and the research on the characteristics of the exercises,this paper establishes the research and analysis framework by combining the American curriculum concept through the literature research method.Then,through the content analysis method,the physical exercises in the ?Science Explorers-Motion,Force and Energy?volume are analyzed on the the position and column of exercises,quantity and type,difficulty,knowledge level requirements,guidance and feedback to students,ability training,and application of knowledge.The characteristics of exercises in physical textbooks of America are as follows:(1)the quantinities and gradation of exercises in the it are more than the PEP version junior Physica textbook(2)The connection with the examination is convenient for students to conduct self-examination(3)Focus on guidance and timely feedback to help students establish problem-solving strategies(4)Highlight skill evaluation,cultivate students' inquiry ability and basic skills(5)Integrate multidisciplinary knowledge and encourage practice to help students clarify the context of knowledge(6)Explore physical problems in life and improve the ability of syudents to solve practical problems.At the same time,combining with the characteristics of the exercises in my country's junior high school version of physics textbooks,the enlightenment of the compilation of textbook exercises in our country is put forward:(1)Pay attention to the demand and appropriately increase the number of exercises(2)Highlight student development and demonstrate connection to academic proficiency testing(3)Pay attention to the elements of students' inquiry ability,and provide an effective carrier for cultivating inquiry ability(4)Care about the integration of disciplines,show the inner link between them(5)Focus on the value of knowledge in life,andset questions around real life situations...
