The education structure has been improved continuously,since the founding of New China.However,at the same time Chinese science education still has some problems,mainly reflects in people stressing the scientific knowledge too much and ignoring the importance of scientific methods.The essence of science education is not only the scientific knowledge,but also the scientific method of exploring the scientific knowledge.Compared with scientific knowledge,scientific methods have greater stability and more general applicability.In this sense,it is more important for students to master scientific methods than to master scientific knowledge.Relevant research shows that textbooks are the most important factor among the many factors in the national basic education.Because most teachers rely on textbooks to decide what should be taught and how to teach.Therefore,in order to make scientific method education we must pay attention to the importance of textbooks in national education.The purpose of this study is mainly through the comparison of Physical Science between Chinese and American high school physics textbooks to find out the merits and shortcomings of the arrangement of physical science methods in high school physics textbooks.And we can take the advantage of the American physics textbooks.It not only can make some worthwhile suggestion for our physics textbook,but also can bring some inspiration for teachers make scientific method education.At the same time,we can also enrich the scientific method theoretical research,and make some suggestions for other scholars.This study we conduct the research of physical science methods in the high school physics textbooks between China and America.And the main work includes the following aspects:1.Reading a lot of literature,were analyzed and summarized the scientific method,scientific method education and current situation of scientific method education researching,and find the shortage of the study of physics scientific method in physics textbooks for senior high schools in China.Find a scientific method as a benchmark to study scientific method in America and Chinese high school physics textbooks.2.According to reading the literature and books,I looked for the theory of physical scientific methods such as experimental methods,idealized methods and mathematical methods.3.Base on the above theory,we can analyze and compare the experimental methods,idealization methods and mathematical methods in Chinese and American high school physics textbooks.4.Based on the conclusion,the paper puts forward some suggestions on the preparation of physical science methods in high school physics textbooks.Through the analysis and comparison of the physical science methods in the Chinese and American high school physics textbooks,the following conclusions are drawn:1.In the experiments of Chinese and American high school physics textbooks,the control variable method and the conversion method are quite different in the range of frequency and coverage.However,the control variables and conversion methods in the two versions textbooks are concentrated in both mechanical and electromagnetism.2.The number of control variables in Chinese high school physics textbooks is more frequent,but most of them are used in demonstration experiments.Students are lack of the opportunity to use this method independently,and it is difficult to grasp the scientific method.3.Even though the conversion law appears a lot of times in the Chinese high school physics textbook.In fact,it is not really carry out the conversion law education in the Chinese high school physics textbook.4.Chinese textbook in the aspect of free fall movement,Galileo’s ideal slope test,electric field lines and other parts are better of reflecting on the idealized method steps to help students master the method;In the American textbook the mass point model,Newton on the ideal of satellite movement and so on are more advantageous to educate students scientific methods than Chinese textbooks.5.Mathematical expression of the mathematical model are great quantity in China and America high school physics textbook.Chinese high school physics textbooks pay more attention to the establishment the model of Mechanics and electromagnetics.In contrast,American textbooks for the mathematic expression of the various modules are not attached to great importance of the establishment of the process.6.The use of mathematical images of the mathematical model in China and America high school physics textbook are large different in the use of range and purpose.7.Chinese high school physics textbooks are lack of the comprehensive application of the mathematical model of mathematical image and mathematical expression representation;But American textbooks are comprehensive using the above mathematical model. |
