"The essence of formalism is subjectivism and utilitarianism, and the root cause is the misplaced view of political performance and the lack of sense of responsibility, replacing solid implementation with a vigorous form, and covering up contradictions and problems with a bright and beautiful appearance." "Formalism is not only an ideological and work style issue, but also a political issue, and it is incompatible with the nature, purpose, and fine work style of our party." If formalism is not effectively rectified,it will continue to spread and cause various losses and adverse effects. As a political disease, formalism spreads in the society and some colleges and universities, and affects the political thoughts and behaviors of some college students.Colleges and universities are the main fields of college students' study and life, and the formalism in colleges and universities has a major impact on college students' political thoughts and behaviors.Through the combination of literature research and empirical research, this paper summarizes the main manifestations of the influence of formalism on college students' political thought and behavior: "process evaluation" encourages some college students to "go through the formalities","trace management" breeds some college students to "make false marks","the concept of performance" prompts some college students to "engage in face engineering",and "policy implementation deviations" affect the "effect evaluation" of some college students. On this basis, the harm caused by formalism to the political thought and behavior of college students is analyzed and the causes are explored.Formalism reduces the evaluation of political organizations by some college students, dilutes the willingness of some college students to participate in political life, detracts from the recognition of the values of dedication by some college students, and weakens the identification of some college students with the value of creditworthiness. The influence of formalism on the political thinking and behavior of college students is mainly the result of the logical imbalance in the governance process of colleges and universities, the behavior of some key groups, and the bias of political cognition of some college students.Eliminating the influence of formalism on college students' political thought and behavior mainly lies in the joint efforts of colleges and universities, key groups and college students: colleges and universities should improve their governance capabilities, adhere to the essential view of educational logic, strictly prevent the administration of management logic, and implement the direction of political logic.to promote the effective coordination of governance logic, advocate a truth-seeking and pragmatic work style, and build a "separation wall" that resists formalism;as a key group, college teachers should strengthen demonstration and leadership, college students' party members should strengthen their vanguard and exemplary role, and student cadres should Effectively enhance service awareness, consciously abandon the style of formalism, and become the "leading goose" against formalism;college students in the new era must "strengthen their muscles",pay attention to clarifying the essence of formalism, always be alert to the induction of bad ideas, and vigorously promote themselves. The spirit of revolution enhances the "immunity" against formalism.Studying the influence of formalism on college students' political thinking and behavior will help guide college students to distinguish the formalism that exists around them, clarify the harm of formalism, consciously resist the invasion of formalism, carry forward the trend of practical work, and shoulder the great heavy task of national rejuvenation in the course of practical study and practical work.
