The 2017 edition of the general high-school biology curriculum standard(hereinafter referred to as the "curriculum standard")has proposed the key competence of biology for the first time.So far,the teaching goals of high-school biology has been changed from Bloom’s three-dimensional goals to comprehensively improving students’ key competence in biology(hereinafter referred to as "key competence").Key competence includes four different and overlapping fields,namely,life concept,social responsibility,scientific thinking and scientific inquiry.Among them,the concepts of life is the abstract product after the interpretation of the life phenomenon,and this abstract product can be consciousness,idea or thought method.The formation of students’ life concept should be based on their mastery of certain biological concepts.The life concepts in the curriculum standard include the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation,structure and function,and material and energy,among which the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation is the cornerstone of the whole biology.This study investigated the cultivation of the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation based on the "PBL" teaching method.Firstly,this study has reviewed the research status of "PBL" teaching method and the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation.After that,the four core concepts involved in this study are still defined through the literature research method.The above research review and the core concept definition laid the theoretical foundation for this study.Secondly,through the design and distribution of teacher questionnaires and interview on the current situation of the cultivation of the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation,which realizes the problems in the process of cultivating the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation.Next,the pretest questions were designed and distributed according to the evaluation content index system of the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation constructed by other researchers.According to the data analysis of the test scores,the current level of students’ the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation was understood.Then,according to the problems existing in the learning of the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation,the classroom example study based on the "PBL" teaching method to cultivate the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation is introduced.Moreover,according to the general process and characteristics of the "PBL" teaching method,this study carefully combed the materials of evolution and adaptation covered in the module Molecular and Cells and the key issues to the "PBL" teaching method.Later,two classes with low and similar level in the pretest were selected to conduct classroom teaching based on the "PBL" teaching method,and the post-test(the dimensions of the post-test questions are consistent with the pretest)and student interviews were conducted in the first time after the class.Finally,on the one hand,I put the data of the two classes of their pretest and post-test into the SPSS25.0 to carry out the paired-matched sample t-test and I get the sig(bilateral)is0,which is less than 0.05.Consequently,from the angle of quantitative analysis,the difference between pretest and post-test of the two classes is no significant.On the other hand,I implement the second students` interview,and compared it to the first interview I find it from the angle of qualitative analysis that the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation of the two classes students really have been improved.This study finally draws the conclusion which is based on the quantitative and qualitative analysis that the teaching method of "PBL" is definitely effective in cultivating the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation.Finally,after the above research,the research results of this study is that on the one hand,through the questionnaire and interview survey,I have understood the cultivation status of the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation,and clarified the obstacles encountered in the cultivation of the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation from the level of teachers and students;On the other hand I have excavated the module Molecular and Cells about the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation,and provided an effective teaching method to cultivate the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation,which is the "PBL" teaching method,The most important is that this study has provided a strongly theoretical support and a reliable experience of teaching practice in the aspect of cultivating the viewpoint of evolution and adaptation.
