The three editions of Chemistry Textbooks for Senior High Schools(compulsory first and second volumes)compiled in accordance with the Chemistry Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)have been gradually implemented in most provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions starting in the fall of 2020.Researching the new textbooks will help teachers better sort out the ideas for compiling new textbooks,and then understand the new curriculum concepts contained therein.This study takes "sulfur and its compounds" in different editions of new chemistry textbooks as an example,compares different presentation methods,enriches the relevant research on the new chemistry textbooks,and provides a certain reference for teachers to use the new textbooks for teaching.This study adopts the methods of literature combing,text analysis,comparative research and interview,takes "sulfur and its compounds" as the research theme,and compares the different presentation methods of factual knowledge in the three domestic editions of the new chemistry textbooks,mainly as follows:(1)Compare the macroscopic presentation methods: layout design,column settings,figure and table settings,and reading aid system settings.(2)Compare the microscopic presentation methods: the selections and presentations of situational materials,the settings of experimental contents and forms,and the specific presentations of the natures and applications of the substances.(3)Dynamic analysis: conduct the teacher and student interviews.This study mainly draws the following conclusions:The three editions of the new chemistry textbooks all have done:(1)layout design is more reasonable;(2)column,figure and table settings are more abundant,and pay attention to setting up related reading aid systems;(3)pay attention to integrating situational materials when compiling specific knowledge points;(4)pay attention to setting certain experimental contents to explore the natures of related substances,and designing reasonable experimental forms;(5)basically follow the sequence of "from physical natures to chemical natures,and then to the applications of the substances" when presenting the natures and applications of the substances.This study also makes the following suggestions:(1)Suggestions for the compilation of textbooks: pay attention to layout design to enhance the visual beauty;rich the content design of the expanded data columns;use more physical figures,and pay attention to the design of tables and reading aid systems;choose the situational materials that reflect the times and the integration of science and humanities.(2)Suggestions for the teaching of teachers: integrate the subject knowledge into the situations,and carry out the "literacy-based" teaching;design the exploratory experiments carefully,and improve the experiments of textbooks rationally;present the chemistry teaching contents structuredly.
