The subject of high school history has undergone new changes in many aspects,such as curriculum philosophy,curriculum structure,curriculum objectives and content,and academic quality evaluation with the new round of curriculum reform and the advancement and deepening of China's college entrance examination evaluation system.As an important way to select talents for national higher education institutions,the college entrance examination plays an important role in guiding high school education and teaching,and its test characteristics should reflect the national philosophy in the development of the new curriculum and the new college entrance examination reform.Therefore,it is very necessary for us to analyze and study the characteristics of the ability structure and its orientation of the history test questions of the 2017—2021 years' college entrance examination.As a qualitative assessment method with the basic feature of level description,SOLO classification theory can be used to evaluate the quality of students' learning and to detect the level of students' thinking ability.It classifies students' thinking operations in answering questions into five levels of ability from low to high,so it is also applicable to the classification of the level of thinking ability in the history test of the college entrance examination.In this paper,based on SOLO classification theory,the criteria for dividing the SOLO proficiency levels of the history test questions in the college entrance examination were developed and used as a basis to classify the proficiency structure of the history test questions in Hunan Province from 2017 to 2021 into Uni-structural level(U),multi-structure level(M),Relational structure level(R)and extended abstract structure level(E).The author attempts to derive the characteristics of each year's college entrance examination history test questions on students' thinking skills from two dimensions: test question types and knowledge modules.This paper also conducts a longitudinal study on the characteristics of the ability structure of the history test questions in the Hunan Provincial College Entrance Examination from 2017 to 2021,and obtains the following conclusions,among others,that with the new round of curriculum reform and the continuous promotion of the college entrance examination evaluation system,the requirements of the college entrance examination questions for students' thinking ability are gradually increasing,the thinking ability test is more comprehensive,and the ability structure changes differently for different question types.This change reflects that the new curriculum and the new college entrance examination reform concept,with the fundamental goal of improving students' historical thinking ability and cultivating core literacy in history,have been integrated into the history questions of Hunan college entrance examination,and play a positive leading role.Combined with the actual high school history education and teaching respectively,this paper,put forward some suggestions on the design of the history test questions,the teaching of secondary school teachers,and the students' revision and preparation for the examination through the analysis of the characteristics of the ability structure of the college entrance examination questions and the trend of the changes of the questions,aiming to provide useful reference for teachers and students in secondary schools.
