According to research,teacher-student verbal behaviour in the classroom accounts for about 80% of the classroom time, and is therefore a key factor in the quality and effectiveness of teaching.Effective classroom teacher-student verbal interaction can play an important role in building a harmonious classroom atmosphere and improving the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom. In this paper,we firstly reviewed the current status of research on teacher-student verbal interaction, and combined with our own educational practice,we selected 12 lessons from Mudanjiang M Primary School's IT classroom as the research object. The study then analysed the teacher-student verbal interaction in terms of the classroom verbal structure, the teacher's teaching style, the teacher-student affective climate, the teacher-student question and answer session and the use of information technology, and then conducted a comparative analysis in terms of the teachers' gender, teaching age and class type. The study found that,in terms of verbal structure, primary school IT teaching is mainly dominated by the teacher's words, and students' subjectivity in classroom teaching is not high, with the use of IT taking up about half of the classroom time.In terms of teaching style, teachers tend to exert more direct influence on students, while there are relatively few words to adopt students' views, praise or encourage them;in terms of the emotional atmosphere in the classroom, teachers and students have a more harmonious emotional atmosphere, with fewer barriers;in terms of questions and answers between teachers and students, teachers ask more questions in the classroom, but most of them are mainly closed questions, and there is a lack of open questions, and the number of students taking the initiative to ask questions is very small. In terms of the use of information technology, the use of information technology in practical classes was mostly based on students' operation and practice, with teachers mainly demonstrating and coaching students. In a comparative analysis of teachers by gender, female teachers were more likely to ask questions and exert indirect influence on students and had a higher rate of student speech during lessons. The classroom structure was similar between teachers of different ages, but teachers with 10 and less than 20 years of teaching experience tended to be more student-led and had a more harmonious classroom environment. In terms of comparative analysis of different classroom types, the teaching differences between different classroom types are shown in that the ratio of teachers' speech in theory classes is much greater than that in practice classes, but the ratio of manipulative techniques in practice classes is much greater than that in theory classes. Thus, based on the characteristics of teacher-student verbal interaction behaviour in primary school IT classrooms, the author mainly puts forward the following four teaching suggestions: firstly, optimise classroom control to create a good classroom atmosphere;secondly, improve the effectiveness of classroom questions to promote students' in-depth thinking;thirdly, improve teachers' evaluation to build a harmonious teacher-student relationship;and fourthly, cultivate students' problem awareness to improve students' subjectivity.
