In view of how to improve students' core literacy and enhance students' key abilities and necessary characters,educators have proposed six core mathematics literacy.Starting from the improvement of students' core literacy of mathematical operation,this paper combines the characteristics of large amount of calculation and complex operation of conic section,and focuses on knowledge points such as ellipse,hyperbola and parabola,and conducts a research on the core literacy of mathematical operation of second-year high school students in city B.First,according to the requirements for operational literacy in the curriculum standards,research questions are written from four aspects: students' emotional attitudes and values,teachers' teaching aspect,knowledge of conic sections,and mathematical operations,and the four aspects of students are investigated in the form of multiple-choice questionnaires.Secondly,according to the curriculum standards,a3-level and 4-dimension operational literacy evaluation system is constructed.The test questions are written according to different levels of difficulty,and the students' core literacy of mathematical operations is investigated with the answering questions of the conic curve,and the students' "communication and reflection" situation is reflected through the question-and-answer with the students.Then,use SPSS to analyze the differences of mathematical operation literacy for different genders,liberal arts and sciences,and different classes.And study the mathematical operation ability and the students' emotional attitude towards mathematics and the correlation between students' achievement.Finally,according to the current situation of students' operational literacy,relevant suggestions and improvement strategies are put forward,and the content of conic section is selected for teaching case design.The study found that the arithmetic ability of the second-grade students in City B is relatively weak,and there are some gaps in gender and different class levels.Significantly higher than the general class of science and the general class of liberal arts.In addition,according to the survey results,it can be seen that after one year of study,the grades of the general science class of senior three are higher than those of the general science class of senior two.The higher the grades,the higher the grades,the stronger the math skills.In particular,there is a positive correlation between students' mathematical operation ability and emotional attitude;confidence in mathematical problem solving is the biggest factor affecting students' mathematical operation ability;teachers strengthen blackboard derivation and prompt operation steps when explaining the concept of conic section and applying exercises.It is helpful for students to improve their computing ability.
