The research on user experience of voice interaction seldom pays attention to the elderly,the designer did not consider the cognitive load of the elderly,whose user experience needs to be improved.Based on speech regulation theory and linguistic focus theory,this study proposed an age-appropriate design for voice interaction,and through the experiments to prove the suitable conditions of the strategies.At last,the strategies was used to the multi-round dialogue task,according to the experimental analysis,the usability of the strategies is verified.First,according to the cognitive and psychological characteristics of the elderly,this study evaluated their difficulty in the process of interaction.According to the wizard of oz testing design the experiment,to explore the feedback speech speed expected by users in different task scenarios.It is proposed that the feedback speech speed can be flexibly adjusted according to the user’s speech speed,task type and the length of the system’s feedback words: in the low-purpose voice interaction task,the user’s speech speed did not affect the satisfaction judgment of the feedback speech speed.But the more words the system feedback,the slower the user expects the feedback to be;in the strong-purpose voice interaction task.When performing voice interaction tasks with a strong purpose,The faster the user speaks,the faster the expected feedback,and the more words the system feedback,the slower the user expects the feedback to be.Then,a test was designed to compare the difference in listening efficiency.In the experimental group,the focus information of system feedback was processed by the gradient of volume and speed.By comparing the efficiency of listening and distinguishing with the normal pronunciation system in the control group,the effectiveness of the focus information prompting strategy in the system feedback was verified.When the amount is in 7 blocks,using strategies for voice feedback will remarkably enhance the user’s hearing and discrimination efficiency.Therefore,the voice interaction designer can flexibly use the design strategy according to the amount of focus information in the system feedback,improve the effectiveness of the interaction function.Finally,the design strategies are applied to multiple rounds of dialogue tasks,and the usability of the strategies are evaluated in multiple dimensions through the emotional experience scale,skin conductance and the comprehensive questionnaire.The comparative experiment with the normal pronunciation system in the control group found that the voice interaction system after applying the design strategies did not cause obvious negative mood fluctuations,when the voice interaction system after applying the design strategies performed multiple rounds of dialogue tasks.The evaluation of the emotional experience scale score shows that the subjects’ valence and arousal are higher than those of the control group.Through the comprehensive questionnaire scores,it is proved that the elderly have a high acceptance of the proposed design strategies,and the usability of the voice interaction system have been improved.
