A Practical Research On The Life Adaptation Of Urban Widowed Elderly

With the aging of China,the widowhood rate is also increasing,the widowhood problem will become an important issue affecting the development of the country.At present,the research on the elderly focuses on remarriage,nursing,medical insurance,pension,etc.,and pays more attention to the disabled,empty-nesters,and the disabled.Based on the difference between urban and rural areas,the living adaptation of rural widowed elderly has received more attention,while urban widowed elderly have been neglected.Some widowed elderly people refuse to take part in social activities,keep themselves closed at home,and may even choose to commit suicide.Therefore,we should pay enough attention to the life adaptation of widowed elderly,explore the problems faced by life adaptation,analyze the causes of life adaptation problems,and whether the intervention of social work can help widowed elderly people adapt to the present life again.The widowed elderly Y in community X was selected as the service object,and the intervention was carried out in accordance with the life adjustment problems of the widowed elderly Y.Through the form of scale measurement,semi-structure interview and observation to understand the living conditions of the service object after widowed,at the same time,the neighbors and community staff of the service object were interviewed,and the data about the service object were collected from many aspects.During the 12 months of widowhood,the clients were still unable to adapt to the present life,and there were some problems,such as the gradual decline of physical health,self-closure,negative emotion and so on.The main reasons were that they could not adapt to the life after widowhood,were affected by bad emotions,lost emotional sustenance and lack the care and support of system members.Work with the service object to determine the core problems to be solved in the intervention process,formulate goals and plans,determine the tasks that the service object needs to complete,summarize and evaluate in each stage,ensure that the service object completes the tasks in each stage,and finally solve the problems of life adaptation,and the service object adapts to the present life again.According to the needs of service object life adaptation,social workers based on ecosystem theory,through the method of casework,choose the task center model to intervene the service object.In the whole process of intervention,help the service object relieve the inner remorse,enhance the confidence to realize the life adaptation,alleviate the unintentional sense of life after widowhood,actively find their own value,enhance the expectation of the future life,enhance the concern and companionship of the family to the service object,and enhance the family's concern and companionship to the service object.To provide literary and artistic group resources in the community for the clients,encourage the clients to participate in community activities,increase communication with the outside world,enrich their own lives,and gradually come out of the negative state of life in the past.Finally,the degree of achievement of the evaluation goal and the change of the object of service,it is found that the goal of casework is basically achieved,and the object of service has changed obviously in the aspects of adjusting his own emotion,alleviating the sense of lack of meaning in life and increasing communication with the outside world.Finally,the advantages and limitations of the task center model,the practical process and the multiple roles of social workers are reflected.The results show that,with the support of ecosystem theory,the mission center model plays a positive role in the life adaptation of widowed elderly people in cities,and also shows the shortcomings of the research caused by time constraints,differences in ideas between the two sides and the representation of service objects.
