A Case-study Of The Fact That Orphans’ Resilience Has Increased

This paper chooses "fact orphans" as the research object,mainly because their living conditions are as difficult as orphans,but they don’t enjoy the relevant protection and assistance policies for orphans.According to incomplete statistics,there are about 600,000 fact orphans in China.As of 2021,more than 263,000 fact orphans in China have been included in the scope of protection.However,in recent years,there have been many casualties of factual orphans in the society,which have aroused great concern of the state and society.For factual orphans,it is not only urgent to establish a sound rescue and security system,but also professional social workers to help them improve their living and learning abilities,resilience and communication skills.In this paper,the author analyzes the fact orphans who came into contact with the practice of children’s work review in Y District,and summarizes the difficulties they are facing and the reasons for their low resilience.In the process,a fact orphan who urgently needs the intervention of social workers is found.This paper uses the case work method to provide services for this child,making full use of its own advantages,family,school,peer group and community,and integrating various resources to achieve the purpose of improving the resilience of the fact orphans.Finally,aiming at the problems of weak internal advantages,weak family maintenance system and weak external support system of clients,the corresponding countermeasures are provided,and the social work intervention is summarized and reflected.Through the research,it is found that improving the internal advantages and external support of factual orphans can help individuals to better cope with setbacks and difficulties in life to a certain extent.First of all,enhancing the internal advantages is the foundation of the fact orphans’ resistance to adversity.By fully tapping the internal advantages and potentials,encouraging them to participate in meaningful activities,helping them build up their confidence in life and forming a good sense of purpose,they can play a fundamental role in the improvement of resistance to adversity.Secondly,the establishment of external support system is the guarantee to continuously improve the resilience of factual orphans.It plays a key role in consolidating the resilience of factual orphans by coordinating and improving family atmosphere,building school resilience culture,establishing peer support,linking community and social resources,and building external support network.
