| In the present thesis,taxonomy of the leafhopper subfamily Nirvaninae was researched systematically from China.The research history of Nirvaninae is reviewed worldwide.Their morphology,the material and methods,as well as economic importance and geographical distribution are introduced.1 tribes,10 genera,52species are recorded,of which 1 genus and 9 species are new to science,2 new combinations and 1 new synonym are proposed.Keys to all the genera and species are given and male genitalia of each species is observed and illustrated.New taxa,new combinations and new synonym are as follows:1 new genus:Decursusnirvana gen.nov.9 new species:Sophonia bicepsa sp.nov.,Sophonia erythrospota sp.nov.,Sophonia digitala sp.nov.,Concaveplana tricephala sp.nov.,Concaveplana hamata sp.nov.,Concaveplana undulata sp.nov.,Oniella shaanxiana sp.nov.,Decursusnirvana fasciiformis sp.nov.,Decursusnirvana hirsuta,sp.nov..2 new combinations:Oniella albula(Cai&Shen,1998),n.comb.,Decursusnirvana excelsa(Melichar,1902),n.comb..1 new synonym:Oniella flavomarginata Li&Chen,1999 syn.nov.(= Oniella honesta Melichar,1902).The type specimens of the new species are deposited separately in the Northwest A&F University in Yangling,Shaanxi(NWAFU),Institute of Zoology,Academic Sinica in Beijing(IZCAS),China Agricultrual Univerdity in Beijing(CAU),and so on. |
