| Objectives:The aims of this systematic review and Meta-analysis were to evaluate the effect of postactivation potentiation of skeletal muscle induced by plyometric exercise in different ways, and its influence on sports performance.Research the influence of the postactivation potentiation on the power of the lower limbs after the induction of the plyometric exercise, and research the effect of the postactivation potentiation after the induction of the plyometric exercise of different intervention types, load, volume and intermittent time, and provide a reference for the application of the postactivation potentiation in the practice of competitive competitions. Methods:Search the literature on the plyometric exercise in the postactivation potentiation of skeletal muscles in English electronic databases such as Web of Science,Pubmed,Cohrance,EBSCO,Embase and Chinese electronic databases such as CNKI and Wanfang. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were formulated, and two researchers independently completed the screening of the literature and the extraction of data. The Cochrane scale was used to evaluate the quality of the literature, the Endnote software was used to manage the included literature, the literature that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria was systematically evaluated, and the Revman5.3 and R software were used to perform Meta analysis and publication bias analysis on the included literature.Results:20 articles were selected from 961 related articles and included in the study.Among them, the intervention type adopted 9 depth jump interventions,9 vertical jump interventions, and 2 combined plyometric exercise.Of the 20 included studies,18 used a randomized crossover study design,2 used a single-group intervention experimental design,4 studies reported random allocation methods, and 16 literatures did not specify the specific randomization method.None of the studies blinded the implementers, subjects, and result evaluation personnel of the experiment. The overall quality of the included studies is moderate, and there is a certain risk of bias. The results of the systematic review show that the plyometric exercise can induce the skeletal muscle to postactivation potentiation and increase the subjects countermovement jump height, but the effect of improving the repeated vertical jump height and sprint time is not obvious.Meta-analysis results showed that the plyometric exercise was in short intervals[SMD=0.24,95%CI(0.01,0.46),P=0.04]and moderate intervals[SMD=0.23,95%CI(0.00,0.46),P=0.05],it can induce skeletal muscle to postactivation potentiation, and improve the performance of countermovement jump height. There was no significant effect on the performance of sprint running in different intervals after plyometric exercise(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)The postactivation potentiation after the induction of plyometric exercise can significantly improve the single explosive ability of the lower limbs, but it does not significantly improve the continuous explosive ability of the lower limbs.(2)Depth jump with low load and low volume can increase the height of squat jump in short and medium intervals, and improve the ability of single power of lower limbs.(3)Compared with the traditional high-intensity resistance intervention, the plyometric exercise may induce the skeletal muscles to produce similar or stronger postactivation potentiation, increase the countermovement jump height in a shorter 0-4min interval time after the intervention, and improve the ability of single power of lower limbs. |
