| Paleontological restoration is an image work that restores extinct paleontologies to their pre-extinction form based on paleontological fossils and relics.It is a comprehensive visual display of the process and results of paleontological research.As an important part of paleontology-related scientific research achievements,research monographs and popular science products,the paleontological restoration map is the most intuitive and concrete restoration expression.Lufengosaurus huenei is the first dinosaur fossil independently excavated and mounted in China.Known as the "First Dragon of China",the fossil of Lufengosaurus huenei is abundant and well-preserved,which is of high academic research value.This paper will take Lufengosaurus huenei as the object of drawing practice,plan and summarize the creation techniques and key points of contemporary paleontological restoration maps,and explore the close relationship between paleontological restoration maps and visual communication design,science and art from the perspective of visual communication.The first chapter of the article obtains the relevant information of contemporary dinosaur restoration and its creation status through a large number of field investigation and data collection.The author explores the drawing characteristics and techniques of early dinosaur restoration maps and the shortcomings presented due to various aspects of development at that time,and summarizes the scientific value,artistic value and popular science value contained in dinosaur restoration maps.According to the current situation of dinosaur restoration,the creation requirements of dinosaur restoration are sorted out.In the second chapter,the author classifies the subjects,forms,techniques and creative ways of expression.We can choose different forms of expression,techniques and creation methods by highlighting different features or textures of different restoration objects.At the end of the second chapter,through the specific case analysis of Lufengosaurus huenei,based on the existing restoration works of Lufengosaurus huenei,the form of expression,expression techniques and other in-depth exploration,on the basis of the analysis of the works and put forward personal views,in the third chapter,the author’s drawing practice planning.The author’s drawing ideas of Lufengosaurus huenei restoration will focus on the four characteristics of scientific,artistic,scientific universality and applicability,and select appropriate forms and techniques for expression from the perspective of visual communication according to the different themes or dinosaurs or scenes to be highlighted in each restoration.The drawing contents mainly include the bone fossil point map of Lufengosaurus huenei,the restoration of the main image of the dinosaur and the restoration of the ecological scene.It presents Lufengosaurus huenei from skeleton to its foraging scene and rest scene one by one.Moreover,the visual images presented in the restored pictures are applied to various cultural and creative products suitable for different audiences in different places. |
